You can see half the cast all shiny from the heat and humidity. And probably will for a couple more months yet at least!

Not a lot has changed since the beginning of the last thread!

Nina and Summer had a close shave when the police thought they'd attacked Gary when they were 'tripping.' Turned out it was Lou (who has been arrested.)

Lauren is falling for Aadi (he is cute to be fair.)

Debbie is fairly stable but sadly still has dementia.

Looks like Mick is going to cause trouble again, after being arrested for killing Craig. And Sally and Tim have been taking care of his and Lou's children.

Not much to be seen of the older characters, (I mean - like people who have been there 20+ years, not just the ones who've been there from the 1960s/1970s etc,) and Corrie is a little bit crime, and doom heavy at the moment.

But we do have a few 'light-hearted' moments to keep us going.

George and Glenda are always worth watching, Tim and Steve are funny together. Not fond of Cassie, but am warming to her and Steve being together, (and am warming to her a bit...) Debbie is a star and it's sad that she's ill, and DeeDee appears to be pining for her baby that she has 'given' to her brother James. James is being a bit of an arse to her too. Hope the little girl (Laila) stays in Coronation Street! She is adorable!

Kev has been given the all clear and doesn't have cancer now, but is telling everyone he does. Tyrone has caught him out though, and told him he needs to tell Abi!

Swain has been given desk duties, and counselling, (after the trauma of the death of her colleague Craig,) but isn't taking to the counselling, as she thinks she's fine.

She and Peter had a real spark together, they could laugh, joke and make fun out of each other. She has been like that with most blokes, asides from the thoroughly boring Nick. Even the short inappropriate flings she had with the likes of Adam, Ali and Daniel she has looked like woman who likes to have a good time and enjoys being with men. Despite all the pony tail stroking she does not seem to have any chemistry with a woman.

It would be impossible for anyone to have chemistry with Swain, she is less animated than a tailor's dummy.😬

Total agreement here. In Classic Corrie Carla is married, and there is loads of chemistry. Her and Peter were great together, but I’m biased he’s my favourite.

Not sure if our DS Swain is small or just surrounded by huge blokes. Kit is obviously a giant but she looked tiny next to her therapist too.

I wasn’t a Peter fan, but think I’m in a club of 1 😆

I can't see Kylie Minogue in Abi at all. Kylie is very pretty and has a luminous face, and a huge smile. Abi looks really botoxed, her lips look batshit, and whilst she isn't awful looking at all, I would not describe her as very attractive. Fairly attractive, but she's no Kylie Minogue IMO! She should be so lucky. (I'll get me coat!)

ALSO loathing bloody Theo, ewwww he's horrible. As has been said he is STILL controlling the narrative; dragging Todd away from his friends. Classic abuser - isolates the victim from their friends (and Todd has no family left in the street to turn to either.)

Aunt Rani is a lazy stereotype. Bit annoying. Fancy leaving her on her own while they all bogged off to the pole dancing thing. She is judgy and stuffy, but that was mean!

The Rovers seems to be “set of the month”, which they use as much as possible. Previously it was the hospital set, the factory, the prison set or the police station. It’s like they pull them out of storage and go mad with them. The cafe and garage sets always seem to be in use.

Aunt Rani is a bit dull but they were all shockingly rude to her at the hen.

Are Theo's kids called Millie and Miles? Is thay not practically the same name? Makes me think of hundreds and thousands.

Millie could be a nickname. Ive heard it for Emily.

Theo calls Millie, Mills, which makes it even worse.

This show is so bloody infuriating. Theo and his antics. This could have been so good, Todd being with an abuser, but they have written Theo as the baddie from the off so there has been no build up. No romance and then the reveal of his real character . Just miserable from the get go. And Todd talking about him moving out to George. Why not just say get out my bloody house George as it’s mine not yours???And Carla and Swain, again, no build up. Just straight jnto misery and lies. And why is Carla always holding a mug. In our house it’s a game. Spot the mug. Once you see it you can’t unsee it. Sometimes she swaps the mug for her phone 😝. And don’t even get me started on Abi and her wax face and crap “affair” and the abysmal Baileys and the whole I’m your dad, your uncle, or whatever I am. It’s absolutely dire and I’m ashamed I watch it.

So the two high powered female bosses who own a hotel and a factory (Debbie and Carla) were fighting for the chance to live in an uninspiring small house on coronation st … and now Debbie’s settling for a flat .

I know it’s a soap and you need constant drama but the lack of any kind of realism these days is ridiculous. No thought about what real people would do in real life situations- so the characters all seem unbelievable.

I see an old character is coming back .. with new family ..
