playing Pete, the dutiful yet scorned man who is a not going to let his marriage get derailed because of a fling in season 1, it's pretty hard to not yearn for more of that ~intense energy~ on your TV screen.

Season 2 will feature a fresh set of characters, including a high-flying couple, Charlotte and Jacob, played by Annabel Scholey and Sam Palladio, who move into the infamous cul-de-sac.

Their seemingly perfect lives are disrupted by their new neighbor, Mia, portrayed by Aggy K Adams, who quickly becomes entangled in their world.

The new season will also see the return of Hugh Dennis as Alan, the neighborhood's awkward outsider, and the introduction of Sendhil Ramamurthy as Charlotte's past flame, Leo

Split's Annabel Scholey and Nashville's Sam Palladio as high-flying couple Charlotte and Jacob, who both work together at the hospital.

Dedicating their lives to their careers and each other, things soon start to take quite the sinister turn when they meet new colleague Mia (Aggy K Adams), who also happens to be their new next-door neighbour.

However, it’s not long before Mia’s past comes back to haunt her, leading Charlotte and Jacob to question who she really is, especially when patients at the hospital mysteriously start dying. But one thing is clear, giving into desires can have deadly consequences."

While this new season of The Couple Next Door features an entirely new central cast, it will also see the return of Hugh Dennis as chilling neighbour Alan.

More recently, we got a first look at the series with the help of a slew of sneak-peek images, only teasing some of the drama to come.

While it's hard to tell just how things will unfold for Charlotte and Jacob in this tale, we can anticipate that, once again, we'll be hooked with the twists and turns set to unfold.

This time around, the new series has been written by David Allison (Marcella) and is directed by Dries Vos (Suspect), so we can anticipate plenty of drama to come.

the fact her name was used to sign in and out then delete it - while she was shagging lottie seems very suss

It’s a load of rubbish but I’m loving it, takes my mind off real life problems.
However I hope I never need an operation at Leeds hospital if all of the doctors are on a drugs high or hungover. 😵

Well that was all wrapped up quite neatly (apart from Ponytail legging it and that knowing smirk from Mia at the end).

Well I enjoyed this - a good thriller. Made you think and glad HD did get to redeems hisself

lovely to see Meg from motherland and I did quite fancy Leo

are we meant to think that from the end that Mia is after her next fling as the couple looked similar to Jacob and Lottie

I think she was looking at the couple on the boat

She was def eyeing them up

I like that he redeemed himself at the end, but I did struggle to work out what the storyline was - maybe because I wasn't gripped and kept wandering off 🙈

I'd still watch another series though!

The ending was a bit silly , as Jacob suddenly switched from being a nice, well rounded person to a conniving murderer !

Absolute nonsense - not a scrap of chemistry or charisma to be found amongst any of them. Nevertheless I watched the entire thing!

I quite liked Hugh Dennis, he was the only character that felt at all real/human - the others were practically robotic, especially Lottie.

Why did he kill Mr Pandian ?
Just to make Mia look bad ?
The bad psychiatrist or psychotherapist who ran off with Mia’s money stolen by her parents- what happened him ?
I like the suburban setting, it’s in the Netherlands ?
Not like the usual housing estates in Ireland and in the UK.
The Hugh Dennis happy ending was straining belief too.

So Mia was manipulative but just not someone who kills

Yes or she wanted the females but to get them needed to shag thr dh as well
