Can anybody recommend me a series that's light and soapy but well acted?

I'm watching The White Lotus but I'm finding it quite dark and depressing. I loved Nashville and Desperate Housewives back in the day. Is there anything with a similar vibe on any of the streaming services? I don't have Apple but I have Netflix and Now.

Just remembered: Ted Lasso - perfect feel-good TV. Funny and upbeat.

I'm loving Pernille on Netflix - a lovely warm realistic portrayal of a middle aged woman, her job, her family, friendships and her love life. Amusing but also deals with serious subjects and brilliant acting. Watch in Norwegian with subtitles though - not the dubbed version.

I'll try that. I don't mind subtitles at all.

Have you watched Mum on iPlayer? It's a sitcom rather than a drama, but is lovely and gentle, great characters and acting.
