So Love Island is now on week 3. Will the arguing and bickering and catfighting continue....... ??? (Probably!) 🙄

Yasmin is so strange and wooden - there doesn’t seem to be any back and forth conversation, just her repeating what the guy has said. It’s weird but she’s having fun and she is attractive when her hair isn’t in the Morticia Addams style.

Helena is being really nasty but Shakira seems to be shrugging it off. Hope Ty’s head isn’t turned.

I doubt Dejohn will bring Andrada back although she’s got a lot more personality than Meg.

Boris is lush - wish we could see a bit more of him.

So basically Dejon wants Armada but won’t act on it cos ‘respect’, but Meg will share a bed with guy she doesn’t fancy cos sad teary jealousy. Meanwhile Armada will play Ben to get in the main villa, where Dejon will have moral superiority over Meg cos despite all his flirty urges, he slept on daybed while she slept with random guy, giving him licence to go at it with Armada. That’s my prediction for that lot.

As for Helena - don’t you think she’s started to twig that she’ll get binned from the island if Harry brings someone else back from casa (which he might with Rhea and at this point i actually hope he does)? So Helena’s strategy is to go for Shakira’s guy cos Shak will back off rather than take her on yet again cos she has too much dignity? But it’s not quite working as she’s not a good fit for Ty whatever her ‘type’, cos his type isn’t desperate much older women when he can have Shakira, if he’s lucky. Agree he should shut Helena down more conclusively. It’s so rich of Helena to pretend she’s letting Shakira have him, like she’s got a say in it. She needs to go find where Chris is hiding cos there’s no one else for her now.

i don’t mind Emily going home. She’s deluded if she thinks there was anything other than convenience coupling with Tommy and she’s bored to death listening to Meg’s rambling self-obsessed Dejon analysis.

Gutted I’m out tomorrow night. The recoupling genuinely should be fun. Or ‘generally’ as Meg keeps saying instead of genuinely.

Loved Ben’s deep moment about all the books he’s read. Self-help because he can only read things about himself. Yet learn nothing. Will we ever discover what he’s been manifesting??

Helena really is awful - why does she keep going after whoever Shakira is interested in?! Love Shakira as she is so classy but really want Helena to get her comeuppance.

I know but someone on here started calling her Groove Armada and that’s more amusing. Andrada sounds like a made-up 50s sci-fi name.

I think Harry and Helena might both go back single and make out that they've missed each other in a sort of less convincing love story compared to Dejon and Meg (which we all think is a sham too!). I think Harry's just playing with Rhea for some convenient affection.

If Ben takes back Andrada to the main villa, she'll likely ruffle Meg's feathers by openly flirting with Dejon.

Looks like Emily is definitely the only one at risk, which I don't really care about!

I don’t really see Lucy and Tommy as a match.

Not in any serious way but more fun than Tommy was having with Emily, which was purely a default from them both being ditched by Megan and Connor. Nothing was happening there and they’d said they’d try other people - not in Meg/D bullshit way, so I’m not sure why Emily is expecting him to stick with her. Maybe she’s had enough and is ready to head home.

Why aren’t there more tasks?
This series has been rubbish tbh. I remember when the Love Island threads were busy .

Lucy definitely sees Tommy as her ticket to the Villa. Zero chemistry from her side. She was looking at herself in the mirrored wine glass last night whilst he was talking to her.

Agree Mustard is letting Armada crack on with Ben so that he can ensure that she’s taken back to the Villa where he will be outraged that My Meg shared a bed and that will justify getting to know Armada. Meg will be unhinged and seething. I’m so here for it!

Harry cannot be left alone with a woman for 5 minutes before deciding to move on. His head doesn’t just turn it’s spinning - he’s basically the girl from the Exorcist. I’d love him to take Rheo back and for Helena to be dumped. She’s one of the more unpleasant contestants I’ve ever seen on LI.

Ty seems so genuine with Shakira but he isn’t shutting down Helena which is a real red flag unless he’s just finding it hard to let her down gently.

Toni has come to life with Cache. She’s too
mature for Harrison who is like a kid in a candy shop - sorry if that triggers anyone to remember awful Seam from last year.

Harry and Helena are the absolute pits. Almost as bad as Joey Essex and quite possibly worse.

I'm going against the grain in thinking that Shakira and Toni are being mean girls and childish with the victim mentality and doing stupid impressions. If they had dignity they would rise above and just go for what they want, not bitch about Helena. Helena's behaviour is odd and I'm so annoyed with her grin now but she can go for who she wants, that's the game.
I also can't stand how Toni flirts, she's so unnatural and sarcastic. Cach is coming across well, though, I hope he gets picked. Emma and Connor seem able to actually talk to each other, nice to see.

Helena's rubbish about how she and Shakira just have the same type is so pathetic. I actually think she probably even believes that herself. Are we supposed to believe they also have the same taste in bikinis too 🤔🙄 I find it so refreshing, if not slightly bizarre, how Shakira just takes it on the chin. It's great that she can seemingly see it for what it is, these are just men they've known for barely no time at all, but I think it's more than that with Helena... it's like a vendetta against her and so personal. I think I'd have clawed her eyes out by now 😳

Tommy is an idiot. Whether Emily is not as nice as she portrays or not, he obviously hasn't seen that side, so I'm guessing he's gone for Scouser for her looks... and Emily is so much prettier imo. Can barely see scouser's eyes from all the filler, I assume that's what it is making her face all puffy?

I reckon Harry has that sex addiction thing. It is literally all he ever talks about. He may as well just get himself a blow up doll or use prostitutes as he isn't interested in the emotional side of a relationship at all. Those tears he had a few weeks ago were totally for the camera as I think he's incapable of feeling anything. Something's definitely not right there.

Tommy seems to be going for Lucy because she's been very forward and has instigated a lot of the affection, which he seems to like! Tommy and Emily both seem quite reserved and it might explain why Emily liked Conor so much as he was also quite forward in his actions. I agree that Emily is more naturally attractive but she comes across as a bit of a people pleaser and is possibly a bit boring for LI. I'd be surprised if Tommy goes back single for Emily. Remember Andrew (tit gate!) going back for Tasha, maybe he'll try something like that 😂

Agree re puffy face, it’s a shame she has had so much work done so young, not needed at all but guess in her trade it’s what’s she’s into. She’s not got much upstairs if the qualifications convo was anything to go on.

It's a funny old one this LI. So many non-couples. Going to be fascinating to see how the recouplings pan out and how they squeeze everyone into the main villa!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bored of My Meg's analysis of her and Longjohn Mustard. On and on it goes and means fuck all. Yawn.

Emily did exactly the same with Conor as she has done with Tommy. Reads more into the situation than there actually is. It is like she is 13, not in her 20s.

Bored of Helena too now. It is like she is a human scavenger. There is something really off about how she moves with men. She is making Yasmin look more normal by the minute.

Harry is so utterly grim. Every time he is talking about what a good time he would show whoever he is talking too, I just know that he is the kind of bloke who is all done in under 2 minutes and asking if you had the best time ever. Urgh.

Good to see some of the new men making a few moves. Glad that Testy Toni has hooked up with the Slovene. He is very easy on the eye and his chat is a bit different, so that mixes it up a bit.

Almost every word that comes out of Ben's mouth makes me laugh now. He is so absurd. I can't quite believe he can actually read. That was a surprise. Maybe they are audio books.

Yes, no proper couples this series. Everyone knows how to play the game, and producers don't help themselves by keeping all the same twists. Even with all the kissing last night (mute button on), just no proper romance 😔

Saying that, though, Meg (who I thought looked really pretty last night - being away from Mr MyMeg seems to enhance her!) would redeem herself to me if she did a madness in Casa. She won't but it's good she's starting to question her couple. Not sure she'll be able to overcome his daybed manipulations when they finally reunite, but at least she now realises that having that level of distrust in the back of her mind isn't healthy. Unless someone comes in for her 100%, I think she's backed herself into a corner by sticking with MyMeg. A shame not to have had a full LI experience but probably an important life lesson for her not to get invested in fboys.

Who's butkiss? D'you mean Billykiss and Boris? I liked him before but his kissing was a bit much. Not a fan of watching/hearing the kissing at all, but gotta say that Shakira's with Ty was the much nicer sort of first kiss, just a run of kisses not chewing each other's chins off in a desperate attempt to appear sexy.

Think someone upthread bemoaned the lack of tasks this year, but I much prefer it with fewer of those and fewer awkward dates too. Think it's better set free of those format things where people are being even more fakey and forced than the usual.
