So Love Island is now on week 3. Will the arguing and bickering and catfighting continue....... ??? (Probably!) 🙄

There was some data the other about how this generation spends a considerable chunk of their salary on looking good. But can’t remember where I read it and what it said exactly!

I’m not objecting to people wanting to ‘look good’! Or to them spending money on that aim.

It’s the uniformity. They are all wearing the same non-style, regardless of whether it suits or flatters them at all. (And sometimes to the permanent detriment of their hairlines.)

It’s very boring. One would think they’d each want to take their most individual selves to the show - but apparently not.

I assume they see having long hair as attractive or feminine, consciously or unconsciously.

I agree though… I find it a bit sad there isn’t a range of hairstyles - and I’d love to see an Afro, especially since my girls have similar hair. But they might also want a weave or braids one day and that’s up to them.

What would they endlessly faff around with if they had short hair?? No more constant hair flicking and tress fiddling, and no hours in front of the mirror pinning extra bits in and fannying around with curlers, straighteners and the rest. It's their mane occupation in there!

So tell me - because I’ve only watched the most recent two or three seasons - has there ever been a female participant with short curly hair, or a shaved head, or beautiful weaving / plaits, or anything different to what we’re seeing this year on the show? (I’m sure some years the women have had little curls on their foreheads? This year it seems as if they’ve each been given a budget of five and a half pence per head.)

Does anyone know how it works with bombshells contestants? Do they stay in the uk until it’s their turn and flown to Spain last minute? Are they in lockdown in Spain from the outset? They seem to be allowed to watch the show at least as they seem to know the contestants when they enter

I think Ben and Alima were just horny and drunk, and gravitated to each other after the HR challenge. Hope Alima gets herself a decent lad in Casa.

This series is one where the girls actually seem more natural in terms of facial tampering. I remember one recent series, all the girls had those huge duck lips and it was awful.

LI is not a celebration of diversity in any regard. Long-haired, feminine and under 30 - tick. Short-haired, muscled and under 30 for the guys - tick.

There was one very heavily tattooed woman in S4, and that was the most out there LI's ever been in terms of alternative beauty standards. You could probably count the number of short-haired women over twelve series on one hand. So a bald lass is unlikely. Besides, what would the men do if they didn't know whether a woman was blonde or brunette? Can't let the poor dears' single braincell explode.

A redhead would blow their minds, too.

I'm sorry but Harrison hates Toni! He is SO not into her. This is just so staged.

My prediction is that the newbies get to steal an islander to couple up with. B chooses D and H chooses shakeria. This leaves Harry open to move back to Helena.

Meg was interviewed in The Sun (I know) ans she said she was asked to be a bombshell last year.

They all watched the show and were on a What’s App group. They had to say their top three that they wanted to get to know.

She said eventually she ran out of islanders she wanted to pair up with and told production.

There was Amber Gill a few years back, but she had medium length curly hair.
There was also someone in there with more than average tattoos & piercings with a rock chick look but I can’t remember her name.
I haven’t seen plaits, or anything a bit different from what I can remember. I don’t even think I’ve seen contestants with for instance pink/green etc hair or anyone with an alternative style like that either? India sometimes has different colour streaks in her hair, but I don’t think she did while in the Villa?
I don’t know if it’s down to the producers or the applicants they receive.

If they get dumped they could well bring them back for Casa, as they did with Molly and Zach a couple of years ago?

Could be wrong but I reckon the producers will ask Billykiss to chose Conor. I doubt they will want Meg to go out. And then maybe Billykiss will continue having chats with Dejon.

I noticed Alima telling Ben last night that she’s a touchy person. But she said the opposite to Remell, that she wasn’t naturally a touch feely person and a slow burner

I don’t get Toni at all.

I thought this too. She took ages to kiss Remell and kept saying she was a slow burner and then with Ben she was all over him and couldn't keep her hands off him and was snogging his face off 😂

Of course the two mean girls Helena and Meg walked past Toni and Harrison while they were talking. I just hope Toni doesn't waste any more time and energy on Harrison. He's another one who enjoyed playing two women.

If Billykiss picks Connor then Alima is for the chop. They won't want Meg to go, unless they bring her back for Casa. Then it will depend on who Ryan picks. Have a feeling it will be Toni and Harrison will go. They won't want him to chose Shakira or Harry will be dumped. Sure they won't want that either.

It might look odd if Ryan chooses Toni now though, in the first few mins of the episode he pretty much said he's not in to Toni but thinks he can take Shakira from Harry

I do like Toni, hacking at the roses was funny. Wish there was someone for her and Shakira.

I like Toni and I'm glad she's kicked Harrison to the kerb. He doesn't look happy that she binned him off.
