Looks like Lorenzo should win this round of the Sexy Dentist contest.

I mean, the organisers aren’t to blame for the rain delay, but it’s pretty obvious they need to move the men’s match at this point.

I’m also being selfish because I want to watch Casper and I really don’t care about ADM or Tommy Paul.

No- again, under my new rules, Casper would be playing instead of the women/De Minaur/TP.

Looks like Casper’s match now postponed to tomorrow. Not sure how that’s any better than just moving it to another court while they had the chance.

No, because the weather isn't looking great tomorrow either, and he/Munar could end up playing 2 matches in a day.

Totally nuts scheduling. The Casper match is still not being played on the court it should have been on, and instead of starting matches early ( because some rain is forecast in the afternoon), matches are starting...in the afternoon.

I don’t normally subscribe to conspiracy theories, but Casper will be playing Jannik if he wins his next match and these decisions seem designed to put him at a disadvantage. It’s really very difficult to understand why they kept him and Jaume hanging around until after 11pm local time before sending them home, knowing they’d need to be back first thing to warm up, and then play again the following day. There was no realistic prospect that the women’s match would end quickly enough for them to play.

Makes no sense at all- and I agree on the conspiracy theory Ice it had crossed my mind.

There were rumblings when ADF lost his match so dramatically that that was fixed - because he would have played Jannik next round, and that would have been a tricky second round.

The tournament really want Jannik in it, I think. And a Carlos/Jannik final is probably the optimum goal.

Other times when the weather has been bad, and it's clear matches won't finish , this has been communicated fairly early on. There were 2 matches left to play on Centrale last night- and no chance that was happening.

And now, Casper isn't even playing on Centrale anyway, so what was the point?
As we mused last night, they could have put the match on somewhere else.

Not that many people in the stadium to watch the Casper match, and after making them wait all night, they were hanging around waiting to get on court to start the match for ages.

And it's the court that gets the really annoying shadow. Shouldn't be too much of an issue today, looks a bit cloudy.

Good start for Casper.

He will probably want to get this over with quite quickly if he can.

Casper has won the first set, hopefully he can get the second quickly.

Munar's service games are a bit lengthy, lots of deuces that Casper isn't taking advantage of quickly enough. But hopefully he will get the break soon and it will spur him on.

When I looked at the forecast for Rome, it was saying there was potentially rain due for the afternoon- not as bad as yesterday though. They might get lucky and it could just be a few spots.

Wow, no-one has won more matches on clay than Casper over the past 5 years. Others have won bigger titles, but he's won the most matches. That's not bad.
