Daley Thompson is immune from being nominated, thanks to Mickey. Trisha has a lot of stories Donna wears an LED mask to bed Jack P Shepherd has been mute 🤐 so far (as his biggest hater, I love it 🤭)

I used to enjoy watching her show back in the day. But these days I can’t bloody stand her.

This is hilarious. I didn’t see this episode when it aired, but I do love French and Saunders ‘Yeah, Jackie’ is one of my fave bb moments ever. I semi remember ‘David’s dead’ but not fully. Can someone please refresh my memory?

I suppose we have to remember that ‘Trisha’ was a show not unlike Jerry Springer and she was known for stirring up a controversy back then.

I was in the audience for one of her shows. I'm not the type of person who wants to be on tv, hate even having my photo taken, but there was a young girl on there whose mum had died. It just so happened that my mum also died when I was that age... and it would have been her birthday that day, so the girl I was with insisted I put my hand up to comment 🙈 I never watched the show when it aired as was so 😳😳😳 and just prayed I'd not made the cut.

Years later I bumped into an old school friend who said "ooooh I saw you on Trisha!" 🙈

Well we can't forget Jerry, seeing as she's name dropped him about 10 times already 😂

You need to watch it on YouTube. Nobody can fully relay the greatness of this moment 😂

I'm glad Trisha is doing something in there. Imagine if she just decided to be wallpaper and stay quiet.

You've inspired me to do the same! Got my 9 and a Half Weeks DVD set up and ready to go, with a nice glass of wine ( and trying to erase the images in my head of the shambolic figure shuffling around in a grey tracksuit in the house, and enjoy him in his heyday...)

I also read the novel on which the film is based on. Which is MUCH darker...

I am greedily full on pizza, wine and nostalgia.

As a Gen X woman, I understand the toxic dynamics in this movie. But it is of another era and I love rewatching and viewing through a modern lens

Has anyone seen Barfly with MR as Charles Bukowski co-starring Faye Dunaway? It was kind of a precursor of things to come. He really was a gifted actor, though.

Such a gifted actor, but easy to see there is a decline as his success grows.

I saw Barfly but would like to rewatch. A lot of these 80s films were when video rentals were very popular and the type of thing I got from the video shop so unfortunately I don't own any of the films to rewatch, they are not generally on streaming services.

Barfly is on Amazon prime but only if you pay extra. That really pisses me off, Bezos! How much money does one man need, ffs!

Saying that, he really is fantastic in The Wrestler. I think it was too close to home for him making it, though. Even so, I love that film.

Thanks, it's £3.99 to rent , I am loathe to pay extra though, it does annoy me. The Wrestler dvd is cheap on eBay.

I actually cried watching this. He was so glorious, and this film had such a big impact on me at the age of 21. In fact, it affected my sexuality for years afterwards. I know Mickey Rourke is just an actor, but it's hard to disengage the actor from the man. I'm experiencing a lot of unsettling cognitive dissonance watching CBB. Almost wished I'd never starting watching it tbh. HOW do you reconcile the incredible, handsome, charismatic man that he was, with what we 're seeing in this show? I just cant!
