So we're three days in Mickey Rourke has managed to insult: Jojo and the entire LGBTQ+ community Drag queens Patsy's cooking Donna's weight He's had a telling off from Big Brother re his comments and discussion of nominations Mickey has been nominated by Jojo, who had a killer nomination, and is the first housemate to be up for eviction.

Daley Thompson is immune from being nominated, thanks to Mickey. Trisha has a lot of stories Donna wears an LED mask to bed Jack P Shepherd has been mute 🤐 so far (as his biggest hater, I love it 🤭)

Contains discussion of the spoiler content shown on Late and Live (ITV2) but no further spoilers please 🙏 No spoilers from the live stream or the tabloids Here's the link to thread one: www.mumsnet.com/talk/tellyaddicts/5307304-celebrity-big-brother-starts-mon-7th-april-on-itv

An excellent article here for anyone wanting a bit of background:

Literally thought this was the evil johnny Depp

Oh blimey, he does look like him there!

Oh it was his stepdaughter not dad, I see. Really horrible , no excuse but it seems to have marked him perhaps? Disturbingly Bella Thorne has just said that in a scene for a 2020 film he hit her genitals w a pickaxe rather than her knees as he was meant too, & had her covered in dirt for another scene. If true, and if deliberate, v disturbing.

I keep trying to see younger Mickey in Mickey's face, he was so handsome and had real charisma. And I realised that we are so used to seeing plastic surgery in women's faces and are used to it but not many men go to such extremes. Is it just me thinking that?

Appalonia · 12/04/2025 00:03

Thanks for the article, it's really sad.

I agree. I thought on the eviction night, he looked a bit more like the Mickey Rourke of old. I guess the make-up helped. He really is a broken man. It's so bloody sad. I hope this experience helps him in some way.

It's the whole banter/bullying thing. He probably sees it as banter but it's definitely getting to her.

I think it's nasty actually what he's saying about her cooking and I wouldn't like it

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 00:26

LovelySG · 11/04/2025 21:52

Think I’m going to wear my sunglasses over my hair this summer, a la Mickey 😎

😂

JohnKettleyIsAWeathermanAndSoIsMichaelFish · 12/04/2025 00:28

When Dustin Hoffman called to offer him Tom Cruise's part in Rain Man, he forgot to call him back. And he made terrible choice after terrible choice, turning down Kevin Costner's part in The Untouchables, roles in Platoon and Silence of the Lambs and, years later, John Travolta's part in Pulp Fiction.

Wow. What a different path Mickey could have been on.

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 00:36

So they're back to doing the interview on the same programme now

I hope so for future

Wow!! Poor JoJo. The dance yea her with the terrible hair would be on the fucking floor of she dared spoke to my child like that. Thinking about my DD used to do ballet until she was 6 and part of the reason I left was because the teacher was borderline sadistic

JandamiHash · 12/04/2025 01:56

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 10/04/2025 21:31

He's so gross and bald

I can’t believe how much he looks like his on screen mum.

I don’t like JPS. The fact he cheated on his Mrs, impregnated a ONS and has never met his child is awful and selfish. I also remember him on Celebrity Mr and Mrs with his then partner (mother of his 2 kids) she was lovely and he came across badly and like he wasn’t that into her

The film world is somewhat right when it aways shows ballet as having a psycho side... The Russian class I went to was def sadistic, I think that teaching style can be overly harsh.

I honestly can't believe shows like Dance Mums exist. Children should not be on reality TV. It should be like child beauty pageants- unacceptable. Poor Jojo has been screwed up by it - hopefully she will be able to settle down to a more normal life.

AliasGrace47 · 12/04/2025 02:16

@8dateslater , re what you said about Rourke's alleged history of assault on women & misogyny, there may be some confusion as Evan Rachel Wood alleged sexual assault by an ex but then said he had never assaulted her & wasn't even an ex. His 2nd wife did allege physical abuse tho as per pp's link.
While I still dislike him, he has clearly had a v hard time for years and years - it feels bear-baiting almost for him to be on the show.
The article also reveals his stepfather SAd him ☹️
Hope the show may have a positive effect...?

ConstantlyFuriosa · 12/04/2025 07:09

One takeaway from the article I linked to was how he repeatedly said he fucked everything up himself and took full responsibility. He didn’t come across as self/pitying which was quite disarming.

CellophaneFlower · 12/04/2025 08:17

Just caught up as fell asleep last night 🙈 Loved the "Mickaaaaay" and "Yeah, Mickey". Comment of the night goes to Danny though: "yeah, on his death bed he sucked a cock, Trisha" 🤣🤣

Trisha was sitting on there with islamophobia on the the tip of her tongue waiting to fly out the minute Chesney mentioned immigration. Felt a bit sorry for Michael who tried to talk about the least controversial thing he could think of - trains. 🙈

TeaRoseTallulah · 12/04/2025 08:48

Trisha needs to go, I can't bear listening to her smacking her lips together when she eats 🤢

cramptramp · 12/04/2025 09:08

I can’t stand Jojo. But I’ve never liked her, even before cbb. I think Patsy should have channeled her inner Bianca and not cried over someone saying they didn’t like her cooking. I’m not really enjoying this series and I’ve watched every single bb and cbb since they started.

MonickerMonica · 12/04/2025 09:50

I don't watch l&l so know I'm missing all kinds of antics but just from the one hour I do see my opinions are thus:

Never heard of JJ before last week and wasn't keen on her in the first few days but last night's disguise as a male was hilarious and I laffed 😀 she did it perfectly and she very slightly grew on me. Did MR honestly not know the new housemate was her? Or am I dim 🫤. Was he playing along with the joke which was meant to be on him?

Patsy crying over the comments MR made about her broccoli 🥦 oh dear silly woman. She could have just responded to him with a cheeky answer. I would have said hey Mickey just wait till you try my boiled eggs. She strikes me as having next to no sense of humour.

Jack was who I thought would be booted out first. I like him in Corrie but he's boring in da hoose. Michael should have stayed.

Some of the others I'm not familiar with so we shall see. Chesney Hawkes. What can I say. I've never regarded him as the superstar he thinks he is and his penchant for getting naked is oooh shocking (not!!!) but hey they all need a gimmick. Am surprised he hasn't mentioned his famous dad yet. Or has he?

Last but not least it's MR. So relieved he wasn't first to go. He's getting into the idea of joining in now and seems to be almost enjoying it but I suspect he'd be just as happy to leave. What do I know though.

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 00:08

I think it's nasty actually what he's saying about her cooking and I wouldn't like it

But it's ok for her to ask Michael about his wig ?

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 10:16

If someone has gone to the trouble more than once of cooking for quite a lot of people when they didn't have to and have had a few comments from a person saying their cooking is rubbish, then yes I do think that's different to a person saying 'can I ask why you wear a wig'.

Maybe the cooking isn't to your taste but I have a hard time believing it's as bad as Mickey's making out. So if it's not to your taste you don't say horrible things and say something like oh I'll just make myself a little something today, or some such like.

But that's just my opinion

MusedeBordeaux · 12/04/2025 10:20

L&L should be renamed the David Potts show. When he was playing the guitar we could see just how short his shorts were. It is a very odd look and he cannot be comfortable.

I am really disappointed in Patsy Palmer, she doesn't seem to have the personality I thought she had. Don't know if it's the years spent in Malibu, but crying over broccoli was ridiculous, particularly as she is cooking it the correct way 😂it isn't meant to be the mush maybe MR wants on his plate.

Glad Mickey stayed. I have a lone evening lined up and am going to watch 9 and half weeks again with a huge fuck off pizza and a gallon of wine
I agree on the plastic surgery, we aren't used to seeing it as much on men. I do see the younger Mickey the more I watch though. I hope he stays until the end and this experience is something meaningful to him. I cannot help but feel this soft spot for him.

Chesney and the drugs 😆I don't mind him at all, but he will never be the rock n roll rascal that lives in his head.

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 10:24

Or if it's just about the broccoli, then just say no thanks to the broccoli for example

Not sure if it's just about the broccoli cos he seems to say her cooking is rubbish as if he's talking about it in general as well

TeaRoseTallulah · 12/04/2025 10:31

utterexasperation · 12/04/2025 10:03

But it's ok for her to ask Michael about his wig ?

I think this is a good point, Patsy was extraordinarily rude to Michael about his hair/wig.
