She’s not wrong though. Eliot shared something really low risk - he was a kid at the time, it happened mostly to someone else, he wasn’t responsible for anything in the situation, it all worked out in the end. Was it sad? Did it leave an impact on his character? Yeah probably. But it’s not a particularly vulnerable thing to share - there is no shame, no long term grief or loss, no mistakes to admit. He could have been a bit braver really.
