Thank you for the reminder!!!

Daisyrainbows · 10/03/2026 20:40

Me! I’m watching. Gosh the trinkets are getting to me

Meredusoleil · 10/03/2026 20:52

Omg this family are so lovely. The Alzheimers is making me teary though 😢

JumpLeadsForTwo · 10/03/2026 21:12

one of my favourite programmes, and the families do seem so lovely! I especially like the ‘one month later’ when they have sometimes made a few tweaks but are really enjoying their new house

RaraRachael · 12/03/2026 08:08

I heard Stacey say that this series is going to feature families with a "story" which I'm not too keen on.

Tbf, they usually do anyway!

GloiredeDijon · 12/03/2026 08:50

Why does every tv programme think we want to see any possible drop of emotion wrung out of those taking part?
So annoying.

Agree. It seems we can't just have entertainment any more. Everything has to have a message or a story.

the80sweregreat · 12/03/2026 09:36

I love watching the houses becoming transformed and easier to manage. The team work well together.

Same, I mainly want to see the mess and clutter and transformation! That should be the main focus. Most of the families featured in the past have been enjoyable to watch with or without a ‘story’.

BeaAndBen · 12/03/2026 14:27

It was so lovely to see the team back again. What a lovely family.

xoxogosssipgirl · 12/03/2026 14:29

Good god, we really have reached the pits of humanity when we need Stacey Solomon to sort of lives out 😖

Then this is not the thread for you.

I like her. Dilly is brilliant too.

PurpleLovecats · 12/03/2026 14:51

I love seeing the changes. Occasionally they do something a bit bonkers (bag by the door for clothes to be returned?!) but mainly I think they devise great systems to help keep families organised and it can make tangible differences.

ChopstickNovice · 12/03/2026 15:03

Love the SYLO team!

I love the systems the best. And I’d like them to spend longer on it.

I was amazed at how much they got rid of. Much more practical for the dad.

Feel free to go elsewhere then.

DILLY sorts their lives out. Rob builds things to make life easier. Iwan cheers the team up somehow whilst not being very useful and Stacey is the enthusiasm and empathy.

You’ve summed up the different roles of the team perfectly, although missed that Stacey also provides the really random craft project idea which mostly go down well

BeaAndBen · 12/03/2026 18:50

I'll admit, Jumps, I tend to gloss over the crafts 😉

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 12/03/2026 18:54

Yes same. I like Dilly’s face when she sees what Stacey’s crafted.

We love how Rob is so hard working and usually finds Iwan or Stacey doing a random craft (cutting sponges into shapes!).

Also not keen on the "story". Of course a lot of people who do get to this situation do so due to terrible circumstances but there have been families on there with no real "issues" other than too much stuff, and it's just as enjoyable.

I'm sure DIY SOS was once more just botched unfinished DIY jobs and it became solely about refitting homes completely for people who needed modified living arrangements.

(I'm not saying that's a bad thing! But we tune into these shows for the home improvements, not the stories)
