I actually suspect she has had older men do exactly that, which is why she is so wary of having less than she deserves - she's been broken down emotionally before so all she can do is list firm accomplishments and understand she needs a lot of approval. A few times Paul has been a bit iffy. When Dave was saying how he didn't like Ryan's comments, Paul sort of smirked and was ready to make it into a joke. I think he's a player and not particularly nice to women. I could be wrong but him ghosting Carina last year... all the signs are there.
