Morena's righteousness is completely misplaced. She is completely in the wrong here- someone DOES need to tell her to be quiet and she needs to listen to them. But she's too busy thinking of the next thing she's going say about herself to listen to what Tony is trying to say.
if i came home from something interesting/ exciting and someone started reading quotations from a self-help book at me, I'd check out too.

What hasn’t quite clicked with Morena that as much as she has every right to want to speak in that moment (although in our house it’s not a drama to ask for half an hour of quiet after a tough day) Tony has an equal right not to want to listen in that moment, and I’d argue even more right when her ‘talk’ is actually just reading from her book of fucking affirmations.

Did it not even occur to her to ask how the session had gone?

Exactly! Especially when that someone is returning from an intimacy workshop.

Its a shame the couple's can't watch playback of some of these moments with an in house therapist, during the ixperiment. A lot of suffering and repetition could be cut through.
