New thread for the week as old one is almost full

HELLO BRUV

A fab duff duff

Tho why do Grant and Jay think all is fine with Phil. It's obvious he isn't well bless him

Amazing acting By Steve M !!

Many say someone will die this week - I'm saying either Ruby or Reiss

Ruby as Martin needs to be with Stacey and Ruby means 40 !!!

Reiss as fed up with him. It's either jail or death 😂

Stacey and Martin need to get back together. They obviously love each other

Do we really care who hit Cindy over the head - I'm saying Peter

Bianca finally managed to escape. I wish we had a flashback how she managed to get the bag - use the tools in it - escape and get back to the square - all in time to hit reiss with a teapot

If people locked their back doors life would be better for all in the square 😂

Billy and Honey married - do we really care 😂

Linda is sober. Yah !!!

Tommy seems to be ok now living with Zack

Tomorrow is the hour special and a thur the live episode we get every 5yrs or so

How many cock ups will with we have - Must be hard to do live episodes

Been lovely watching the old duff on bbc 4 this week and all the old cast popping in for cameos

I'd thought Avani was buying them to sell on for money for the London Eye. But then the police arrived so the dealer dropped and ran. But I had assumed they'd done the pat down first when they took all of them in. It was a hard watch, the Avani actress was very good. Priya is a shit mum and now the whole square knows.

bizzey · 26/03/2025 01:20

Ohh my 😲..
Very good episode and well acted by Avani.

I really just wanted to take her in my arms and tell her it will be ok 😭

KittenPause · 26/03/2025 01:26

Surely they can’t do that without checking the CCTV. Surely the girls could have worked out it was dropped by the dealer and mentioned him. Also are the policewomen so unobservant that they didn’t notice the dealer run off and ask who he was and follow up on CCTV.
i would go ballistic if this happened to my DD

and Jack was a complete arsehole

also there will be fingerprints on the packet of pills

KittenPause · 26/03/2025 01:28

Great episode

Why was only Avani searched and not Amy or Lily

was it because of her attitude and no parents

surely they could have waited

this episode is really good at portraying what could happen in this instance

Suki was great

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 26/03/2025 06:29

The strip search was unnecessary, you get a pat down first (my ex was once searched for drugs). No strip search(the most he had to do was take his shoes and socks off), but then he wasn't a gobby Asian teenager without her parents.

Glad Jean called Suki, Jack is an absolute c*nt (and i never use that word). He knew what they would do but he just left with Amy. Glad Amy told him to shut up too. Hopefully Eve will be on the case when she finds out and use her lawyer skills to sue the Met.

I hope Priya and Ravi keep their cool and deal with it the proper way though. The blonde policewoman was so cold.

thisoldcity · 26/03/2025 07:08

I agree, great acting last night. Avani finally got my sympathy and I can see now why they cast an older actor in the part as you wouldn't want a real 15 year old even acting a strip search, it would be too much. Her scene with Priya was excellent as well. Jack was really unpleasant and irresponsible not letting Priya know what was going on at the station, he could have prevented a lot of the problem. He knew that as well.

scorchedwitch · 26/03/2025 07:58

Jack has no redeeming features. Ok, so Ravi is a drug dealer and attempted to murder whatsherface but at least he's pleasant company and easy in the eye 🔥

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2025 08:03

Def Ravi over jack

yes if jack had waited /contacted her parents

tho wouldn't the police leave a message so a voicemail would have popped through and both would have seen and listened

Ravi let Eve go in the end because he couldn’t kill her. He isn’t all bad, although being friends or lovers isn’t always easy with drug dealers ( no experience myself, but must be tricky !)
He does own a restaurant, so might be handy if you want a burger with ‘ mates rates’ maybe !
🤔 😆

As Ravi pointed out, Jack is a bent copper

He was lecturing his daughter about not expecting special treatment but he is constantly helping out friends and relatives.

Bent coppers do far more damage than criminals.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2025 11:08

They said they left a voicemail so why didn’t they get it and listen to it

also why did the appropriate leave as she was under 15

I cried at the end of last nights episode. Poor Avani. I was the kid whose friends thought her mum was cool, I was so lucky to have a mum who let her stay out late and break rules. In side was screaming because they were the lucky ones. They had parents who actually cared where they were and that they were in school. They cared about if they got the grades and they worried if they were later than the time given to be back for. Luckily I was a good kid who got the grades and didn’t stay out late (well 99% of the time). My heart just ached for Avani. Jack was a prick

Meredusoleil · 26/03/2025 19:41

Bloody hell Jean! 😳

ChonkyRabbit · 27/03/2025 17:41

I don't know who's more irritating, Nicola or Jean!

Anotheremptynester · 27/03/2025 17:42

Am i the only one who thinks Avani is not the complete innocent in this? She was really rude and unhelpful to the police, who were just doing their job. This shock could actually act as a wake up call for her as a gobby unpleasant kid before they do actually get into serious drugs (like her dad. )
I loved the realisation that her mum was shit and Avani calling her out and really hope the police dont end up as the baddies in this story as they are just following the rules. Its a tough job.

Edited

I thought the same

Cattery · 27/03/2025 18:58

Yeh agree. Avani should have wound her neck in at the police station. Good old Jack. Involved in every misdemeanour in Walford. Arrrgh that awful cheap coat and the constant lip smacking before every sentence. Look out for it.

ChonkyRabbit · 27/03/2025 19:44

Being a gobby teenager doesn't justify a strip search and the blonde officer was awful.

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 27/03/2025 19:46

They had no proof the drugs were hers, they could have been Amy's or Lily's. Being gobby doesn't mean they can do that to her.

ChonkyRabbit · 27/03/2025 19:51

Is anyone else wondering if there's a Phil/Linda romance coming?

Meredusoleil · 27/03/2025 20:00

Very emotional but touching scene between Ravi, Priya and Avani tonight. Great acting all round 👏

Have been thinking they'd be good together for a while, so was coming on to say exactly the same!

No I can't relate at all.
A young girl who has not been adequately parented, is vulnerable .
Her bravado/ gobbiness is the result of a lack of social skills/ defensiveness however annoying others might find it, she is a young girl underneath .
The Met Police, a public body designed to protect the public, including societies most vulnerable targeted a young girl because of her colour/ race whilst letting 2 white girls go home.
She was forced to strip because of her colour, they threw their safeguarding processes in the bin because of her colour, she was targeted and humiliated because of her colour.

Child Q is currently sueing the Met Police because she was strip searched at her school.

I'm am beyond belief at the minimisation of what is going on as "it wouldn't have bothered me"

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 28/03/2025 07:31

Are people seriously minimising it and saying they wouldn't care because of their stiff upper lip upbringing!

I wouldn't want to be strip searched at 47 let alone at 15. It would be humiliating at any age but at 15 when you're going through all sorts of things it would be even worse.
