misdee · 07/05/2008 20:20

i try not to.

and i dont buiy sleb type mags either.

i was doing slimming world but ate tonnes of pasta etc so they didnt really know i was dieting. and i mean loads.

some other people have made 'fat' comments in front of dd's and i am always fuming. i dont like comments like 'fat bum/bottom, big bum, look at the tum' etc.

Hulababy · 07/05/2008 20:25

We don't describe people as being fat in front of 6y DD, no. And she feels that it is a rude thing to call other people.

We do talk about healthy eating, but not of dieting or about naughty/banned foods. We say that people can generally eat everything in moderation, but you need more vegetables etc, more than sweets and chocolate, etc.

oiFoiF · 07/05/2008 20:26

ds1 gets told at school fat is a swearword (not that we say ti anyway as we are lovely lovely people) and he doesnt say it anyway fwiw
if anyone cares
i guess not

LynetteScavo · 07/05/2008 20:28

"To give Helena the best startin life, her parents have enrolled her at an exclusive private school"

As if everyone who sends their child to a state school doesn't give a damn!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 07/05/2008 20:28

Damn, I've missed it. ow did I miss the Jan/Feb ones too - were they never discussed here?

Will see if they're on the BBC web thingy.

ILIketoMarmiteMarmite · 07/05/2008 20:29

Why would anyone take a seven year old girl for a manicure?

NotABanana · 07/05/2008 20:30

Why would anyone involve a 7 year old in financial problems?

Wow! Those parents are actually paying for a school that encourage children to climb on chairs during lessons!

Give me a state school any day

gingeme · 07/05/2008 20:30

Shes worried about money at the age of 7! I was worried about dollys and skipping ropes at 7.

ILIketoMarmiteMarmite · 07/05/2008 20:31

Poor little thing.

Hulababy · 07/05/2008 20:32

If mum is so concerned about the music video contents, why doesn;t she turned them off the TV?

DD likes some of these songs, but has never seen the videos. I don't find most modernmusic videos appropriate for her o see yet.

gingeme · 07/05/2008 20:32

I see Bratz and I think 'Im so glad I have boys'.

ILIketoMarmiteMarmite · 07/05/2008 20:32

Sorry - poor little thing was for girl worrying about money.

I have a bit of a thing about children with makeup etc, I usually overreact.

Hulababy · 07/05/2008 20:34

Have no problem with a bit of nail polish for parties and treats; not for school days though. DD has play make up for in the house but not outside the house.

NotABanana · 07/05/2008 20:35

I wonder if the parents were told of the questions before hand?

OP posts:
gingeme · 07/05/2008 20:35

He he the man jumps on the woman

Hulababy · 07/05/2008 20:36

A suspect parents had been asked beforehand if they minded certain questions being asked, such as the where babies come from one.
