Loved the moment where Freddie’s lie about Minah telling him Leanne had the shield unravelled. Squirming.Grin

I don't understand why he did that. He knew what Charlotte had done, so why not suggest that that was what might have happened "maybe one of the three you told tried to murder you deliberately to cast suspicion". He didn't have to work that out, he knew that had happened.

Or once he said the Minah thing and it was obviously a lie, admitting that may have been better than doubling down "yeah, you're right, sorry I was lying. I just panicked this morning because it felt like someone was trying to make me look guilty to I just said something to try and save myself". Probably wouldn't have worked but maybe would have been better than digging an even bigger hole with saying she told him at the end of the night when she wasn't even there etc.

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 09:13

I don’t get the Charlotte hate. Although I don’t want her to win just because she doesn’t really deserve it. She went for Minah too quickly and then she recruited the wrong person in Freddie. Now it’s backfiring and I feel it’s deserved. Backstabbing Freddie by making his one and only murder he got to commit a double bluff was very foolish

Catsandcheese · 24/01/2025 09:12

I just wonder will it be possible for Charlotte to recruit Frankie at this stage, as there is only one traitor going in to the last round?
If so they could team up and win together.
I have really enjoyed this series.

I don't think she can recruit at this stage, I don't think that would be fair but even if she could Frankie would be mad to trust her

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 09:17

Thinking about Frankie and Charlotte:

Frankie would be as well to lie and say Charlotte is faithful, then secretly tell the others and do an ambush. Because then Charlotte can’t throw it back at her.

And if Frankie DOES say Charlotte is a traitor, and Charlotte turns it around on Frankie, that would be cruel because she must k ow her number is up and she’s going either way. So by taking Frankie down she’d just be doing it because she can, not because she has to

Actually I am going to see Swan Lake in Ipswich!

Oh how lovely!! Very jealous

Twinstudy · 24/01/2025 09:19

If they really think about it (which they probably won't) either Charlotte or Frankie are guaranteed to be a traitor so they need to get rid of both of them to be certain. For the ultimate winners it makes more sense to have as few faithfuls at the end as it's fewer people to split the prize with so they'd be utterly stupid not to.

I think Jake and Leanne will also get rid of Alexander, they don't fully trust him so again why take a risk that won't benefit you at all. Jake and Leanne will win. Which is a shame. Feel sorry for Frankie really, she was dealt a marked card

I guess it depends how much Alexander trusts Frankie. And his best bet is to trust her because she's the only way he'll last - if he votes her out, he'll get voted out by Jake and Leanne. So if Frankie stays, maybe she's a traitor and he loses (and maybe she votes him out anyway). If Frankie goes, he will definitely get voted out - so that's what he needs to avoid.

If they vote out Charlotte first, then there's just four. Let's say Leanne and Jake want to vote out Frankie to be safe. Frankie and Alex team up to vote out someone else (even if they think there are no more traitors they have to vote for someone). And then it's stalemate? I'm not sure what happens then.

In which case, Leanne and Jake’s best bet is to convince Frankie they believe her, and try to get her to vote out Alexander first. Then vote her out anyway.

Following on from the last comment in the previous thread, which was responding to a comment saying Frankie is unlikable because she's "highly-strung, entitled and middle aged" so must be on MN.

You have to be in awe of the lack of self-awareness writing "I bet she’s on MN" (as if this trait is required for MN) whilst on MN. 😄

I saw that!! WTF

People really have it out for middle aged women at the moment. How DARE we go through the natural and unavoidable ageing process

And yes when people slag of MN users, when on MN themselves, I worry about the country’s average intelligence level

JimHalpertsWife · 24/01/2025 09:32

I don't want Leanne to win. Don't mind whether it's a traitor or faithful win, but I think she has been so toxic in her interactions with others. Shes hypocritical in throwing others names out there with zero proof, whilst being visibly and audibly angry when someone does the same to her.

That was awful, poor Freddie.

I think Frankie suspects Freddie was recently recruited as he really can’t lie well, he is so innocent and crumbled at the round table.

He even said he’d told his friends he’d gone to an mi5 residential as his excuse for filming the traitors 😂

Frankie will be shocked at first finding out Freddie was a traitor & now Charlotte.

I don't understand why people take it so personally when they get accused of being a traitor. I understand not wanting to get voted out. But the only reason someone is a traitor is because they were recruited or Claudia tapped their shoulder, it's not because they are inherently more deceitful people. So it's not a personal insult to suggest it about someone.
And if you're going to take it as a personal insult, you should consider that when you're throwing accusations around.
One of the things I like about Alexander are his reasonable reactions to people saying they suspect him "yeah, fair, I can see why you would. I'm not - but then I would say that, wouldn't I"

EdithBond · 24/01/2025 09:38

Plastictrees · 24/01/2025 09:06

I am assuming Freddie wasn’t allowed to say ‘I was a traitor, since last night’ or something similar - surely they will be considering the possibility of him being recruited!

I wondered this too. Minah revealed she’d been a Traitor since the start. So why can’t a newer recruit drop some sort of hint? “Right now, I’m…a Traitor”. Or “I’m leaving as…a Traitor”. There must be a way to bend the rules to drop clues, rather than do a full Kieran.

The chalkboard was a good move, at least. He should have drawn a Traitors hood underneath her name. Or written it as CharloTTe 😂

witchycat2 · 24/01/2025 09:40

I believe Ross told them he was a recruited traitor when banished

LaBelleSauvage123 · 24/01/2025 09:42

I dislike Leann for all the reasons other posters have given, but particularly for her outrage when anyone mentions her name, in a game where that is entirely the point! I find Charlotte annoying but she does want the money for IVF, so that makes me feel more sympathy towards here. Jake's over-confidence about his theories is also irritating but he is able to admit when he's wrong. I'd like Frankie and Alexander to win, simply because they've been the most normal, but wouldn't mind any of the others except Mean Girl.

Samcro · 24/01/2025 09:43

I don't dislike/hate any of them, in my mind they are all playing characters, inreal life they are probably all nice.

I don't want Charlotte to win, her game is too sneaky and sorry the accent is just silly.
out of the others I don't really mind.

Did he? I don’t remember that. I wonder what the rules are around it. I guess public opinion holds people back. Doesn’t go down well if you ruin the game for others when you’re on the way out.

Samcro · 24/01/2025 09:44

@LaBelleSauvage123 so does Leanne

Lentilweaver · 24/01/2025 09:45

I think Alexander's reasonable reactions are making him look more suspicious. This group prefers weeping and drama when accused.

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 09:45

I’m not a huge fan of Leanne as a person but she’s been entertaining as hell. Her penchant for jumping to hysteria and not thinking things through has made good TV. I love that Minah and Charlotte named her as two faced for what seemed like shits and giggles and didn’t it work beautifully! I don’t want a show full of boring Jakes

GetDressedYouMerryGentlemen · 24/01/2025 09:51

I have been quite anti Leanne of two reasons the aggressive responses, eye roll etc when any 'heat' comes her way and her seemingly irrational hated of lovely Alexander but I've just had a bit of an epiphany on the latter. As a not posh, pretty, same sex attracted female army officer she has probably met lots of Alexander's 'type' (minus the niceness) and probably had some fairly awful experiences with them so I can understand why she doesn't just mistrust him but seems to actually dislike him too. I hope that last night was the start of a change of relationship between them and that she does finally trust him.

witchycat2 · 24/01/2025 09:54

@EdithBond I've just watched a clip and he didn't! But I'm sure someone did, it may have been on an international version

Edited

There was a stalemate on one of the other versions and they just voted again, I don't know what happens if everyone just refuses to change their vote but I think in this scenario Frankie would change her vote to Alexander. I don't really know why I think that although she has said she has a niggle about him.

I'd love Alexander to win (and Leanne not to 😂) but I don't think it'll happen.

Mooosewoman · 24/01/2025 09:58

i want Frankie and Alexander to win, definitely not Charlotte. She could have played nicely with Minah but she was greedy.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 24/01/2025 09:58

Poor old Leanne got herself into knots over Alexander explaining how she could be a traitor and be pretending the traitors had tried to murder her to frame Freddie and him. I liked how she said something along the lines of how dare he say that, she knows she's not a traitor.

Also appreciated Charlotte's irony at getting annoyed at Freddie because "i dint like being double crossed".

I'd love a body language expert and a psychologist to comment on them all. Why does Alexander sit hunched up and wide eyed.! What does Leanne's endless hair stroking mean!?
