Even though I am enjoying this series less than the last, The Traitors sure does help January along 🙂

It really does!

LindorDoubleChoc · 16/01/2025 23:38

My memory isn't that reliable, but I have a feeling we've had the scenario where the traitors tried to murder someone who was shielded before? I seem to remember them having to act unsurprised when their intended victim walked in to breakfast the next day. Or am I making that up?

I really love Minah, she's got a great personality and is playing so well ... but for the drama I kinda like that Charlotte is showing her evil side already ...

Clafoutie · 16/01/2025 23:40

My love for Claudia knows no bounds. She seems like such a warm and interesting person, and she plays her role to absolute perfection. ❤

I agree. She's just so Claudia ❤️

Caught up, quite pleased Fozia went - especially as she was arsey to Linda. I do know Linda was a traitor, but it's a bloody game love - which you knew when you signed up! Also gone right off Leanne, she was so mean to Alexander for no reason (unless there was some heavy editing going on?) Think she might be a bit of a mean girl... Odd choices for tonight's murder, don't think I mind particularly who goes tomorrow. They probably should've gone Leanne as could've blamed either Alexander (😥) or Leon - or anyone actually as anyone could've have been annoyed or suspicious of her behaviour at the round table. Still feeling it's pretty staged though, I certainly don't believe they were in those coffins for long!

Great idea 😅

Ooh that just gave me an evil idea! Imagine having the Jedward twins in the Celebrity version of this...? Would be hilarious😂

bratsummer · 16/01/2025 23:54

Joe sounds like the thick, disinterested teenager in the classroom, not the teacher. I can just see him going “So, what like Romeo kills himself but then like Juliet wakes up and kills herself too? Like, what! This is doing my ‘ead in!”

How far does the theory of ‘well I pointed the finger at X’ so I’m definitely a target actually get them though? In the tower there’s so much agonising about how so and so can’t be murdered because they named Y so that’ll make the faithful suspect Z. Jake is only still there because his suspicion about Linda protected him somewhat.

They all say it and I don’t know why.

Maybe next season they can get identical twins and swap them in and out under a combined fake name, so that Twin 1 can look genuinely blank about something which supposedly involved them (but actually involved Twin 2).

Good idea.

Reminds me, I had identical twins as friends and if twin 1 bumped into someone who thought she was twin 2, she'd go along with it and vice versa. Then relay to the other.

Fascinating to watch with the people involved none the wiser.

Said they started doing it when people wouldn't believe they weren't the twin assumed, so easier to just go along.

Well yeah, that seems logical... but it's not like the traitors are wrong when they say it will draw suspicion as the faithfuls are still apparently weirdly convinced the traitors are going to murder people who just voted for them, despite common sense - and two previous series - arguing that's not the case. If I were a faithful, I'd be going after people who can't be linked at all the murder, but then maybe that's easy to say from this side of the screen!

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 17/01/2025 00:17

Great title...why oh why do they all refer to each other as " yourself," instead of " you"?!
Do they think they sound clever?! Can't Joe the English teacher correct them??

this is Joe the English teacher who tonight said “we’re all feeling suspect of each other”. 🤔

ScruffMuffin · 17/01/2025 00:24

Haven't read the full thread because these get so loooong.

LOVE Traitors, but tomorrow I'm making actual Bingo cards and handing them out to the family. On each of them, there will be a selection of the following:

~ I'm voting for yourself.
~ I've got a target on my back.
~ Any reference to being thrown under buses.
~ They're gunning for me.
~ Clutching at straws.
~ Fly under the radar.
~ I love you, but...
~ Blindsided.

Anything else?? These are all starting to grate a bit (and I'm unfeasibly tired, so possibly being grumpy).

ThePolarBearWhoLostHisCrown · 17/01/2025 00:47

Just placemarking while I catch up again.

Well Minah has lost all strategic ability since Linda went hasn't she? Make me wonder how much of Linda's contribution in the turret was edited out to make Linda look the hapless traitor just bumbling along.

Agreeing to Anna was daft. All three choices for are for the wrong reason.(charlotte also forgot Lisa named her - reminding Minah that Lisa said her name after Minah said no one had mentioned either of them).

Murder a person whose murder make the other suspicious of another person. I mean i don't think a traitor has ever murdered a person who suspected them as a traitor, but that's never stopped the faithfuls thinkings someone was murdered by the person they suspected.

Leanne would have been my choice. It'd put the spotlight on Leon. Freddie woud be another choice or Alexander.

The focus on how it was Joe who targetted Alex to get him banished.

I'm keen for Jake to go, but I'd have to leave him in. He's fairly clueless now his one and only suspect has gone.

Leanne would have been my choice. It'd put the spotlight on Leon.

Well yes, except that everyone knows that's obvious. So then it might be a double-bluff. And then everyone might think it's a double-bluff, so it becomes a treble-bluff. And so on for ever (apart from Joe, obvs).

At some point in episode 7, someone (maybe Francesca) said something along the lines of "Well maybe it's X precisely because we have no reason to suspect them". Which sounds cool for a second until you realise that it's bollocks, but postmodern thinking and social media seem to have made a lot people think that evidence is meaningless ("You can use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true" — Homer Simpson).

JandamiHash · 17/01/2025 00:56

I have to say I’m fangirling all over the place for Claudia. I’ve seen her on panel shows and heard her on podcasts, she’s genuinely hysterical, she could be a comedian. She must be protected at all costs!

JandamiHash · 17/01/2025 00:59

Also Alexander singing is absolutely going in my wank bank

Doingmybest12 · 17/01/2025 01:00

I'm finding Joe to be entertaining now, very dry and monotone in his delivery. Also really like Frankie.

DollopOfFun · 16/01/2025 21:40

There is a Special Bench In Hell for people who tell other people that they've gone red.

Kill Joe(self).

As someone who is perpetually beetroot I totally agree with this

JandamiHash · 17/01/2025 01:06

Snowmanscarf · 16/01/2025 21:49

I hope they realised that Joe pushed that banishment and start putting the heat on him.

As usual a woman is getting blamed - but it was most certainly Joe!

Phthia · 17/01/2025 01:27

I was so glad they murdered Anna, it was a public service really as she was so annoying. Happy for Joe to be next, for similar reasons. I find it quite worrying that someone that thick is responsible for teaching children.

I thought she was annoying too. Shaming because she had to lie in a coffin above the ground, surrounded by security and every safe measure, for a few minutes. Get a grip

WinterCosiness · 17/01/2025 05:23

Caught up in the early hours! I liked Anna. A true faithful 😊. I think she was wise the way she played the recruitment letter etc. She did well to get a few more days...
What a surprise Charlotte is! Proving to be a formidable traitor thus far! I think she might well be Minah's undoing, and I really didn't expect that. Just shows how some people are so much more likely to win as traitors than faithfuls.
Rooting for Alexander all the way now! He's definitely my favourite of the remaining faithfuls. I like Lisa as a person, but she's not a great player, bless her. He's just such a gentleman, and a decent sort generally. Go Alexander!

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 17/01/2025 05:44

forgot to add how nice that Linda and Lisa at Alex’s wedding and Linda forgot!
