Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

70s , next week Peter persuades Reiss to take in Cindy .. bizarre I know

Shellingbynight · 10/01/2025 15:20

@70isaLimitNotaTarget Nigel accepted Phil's offer last night didn't he? Phil said something like "can you give me a reason why not?" and Nigel said no (because he's still hiding the real reason) and they shook on it. So I think they will stick together.

I thought that was about the Boxing Den rather than living together?!?

Shellingbynight · 10/01/2025 16:51

Yes it was, but it means there is no reason they shouldn't live together, they seem to be getting on fine?

Grunt will come back and stick his size 12s in and poor Nigel will be pushed out even though it was Grant/Nigel who were mates rather than Phil/Nigel .

I will wager Nigel says something about Sharon and the Mitchells ( Teddy included ) will turn on him like dogs .

(So he'll need to slink off to "Dot's House" where he has fond memories )

Reiss did advertise for lodgers at one time . He could have a few lined up .

Shellingbynight · 11/01/2025 08:34

But there is no way Reiss wants anyone living there to see what he's up to with Bianca's smalls, and anyway he's already got Cindy arriving!

the80sweregreat · 11/01/2025 08:44

I hope people are nice to Nige
I have a real soft spot for the curly headed one

catin8oots · 11/01/2025 08:52

Just saw this made me laugh

I think Nige's Julie will track him down and take him home at some point. I can't remember if we're supposed to know Julie - is she from EE?

the80sweregreat · 11/01/2025 08:54

Lord sugar wouldn't have him as an apprentice

the80sweregreat · 11/01/2025 09:00

Cindy tried to pin her attack on Lauren next week

gingercat02 · 11/01/2025 09:09

That's funny from Sugs. He's Roxy's (Rita Simon's) uncle, good to see he's and EE fan

Shellingbynight · 11/01/2025 10:07

I can't remember if we 'know' Julie either, but I think he got together with her offscreen?

But she will for sure turn up and take Nigel home so we don't have to see much of his deterioration. Then in an unfeasibly short time (so we haven't forgotten about his story) we will hear he has died. This all made me think of Barbara Windsor, it's so sad that her picture has been removed from Peggy's.

I am not a Nugget fan either. I hope he's not going to be on screen too much.

I can visualise Julie - short red hair , energetic.
She was a teacher at Claire's school - probably Claire's teacher . There was the death of Debbie , the horrible abusive and twisted dad Liam and poor haplass Nigel for her to deal with so Claire was a very mixed up girl.

Julie had a son Josh who was a bit older than Claire .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/01/2025 10:29

Anyone recognise Julie now Grin

TBF to Nugget (or the actor who plays him really) I don't think he's a bad actor , it's just the character is incredibly annoying and spoiled and he plays him well Grin
Imagine suddenly finding you have a huge family that you weren't aware of .
Your grandfather (Ranveer) who you had always had as your male role model ('cos your Dad went to jail) is not your Grandad , your Dad gets out of Jail , murders your "Grandfather" then you find out that your actual grandfather is Nasty Nish .
Not to mention Priya as your Mum who looks younger than Avani your sister

And a single encounter with drugs (which your buff bezzie mate has been taking for months ) ends you up with acute kidney failure .

Poor Nugget !

Nope, I'd swear I've never seen her before. The same as loads of other long gone characters in EE.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 11/01/2025 12:21

Yes I think the same about nugget. It's the character, I think the actor is doing well for us to dislike nugget. He is playing the part perfectly, as nugget is unlikeable but there's chance he could turn around, I've seen some softer sides to nugget over the years

thisoldcity · 11/01/2025 12:27

I don't recognise Julie either, but thanks for the background info @70isaLimitNotaTarget . I just hope that she will be okay with Nige's diagnosis in the end. She's obviously worried about him and wants to contact him.

Yes, he's so young and vulnerable underneath it all, I agree. He's turning into quite a good actor to make us feel complicated things for him! Peter, on the other hand...

Shellingbynight · 11/01/2025 12:40

I don't recognise Julie either. I don't remember much at all about Nigel really.

I agree it's the character which is annoying with Nugget. But yes, Peter - no excuse for his standard of acting, he's terrible. I don't know why they didn't recast (again). Very Tall Peter was the best actor, although his height was a bit distracting.

the80sweregreat · 11/01/2025 18:04

I didn't ever suspect Bobby for Lucy's murder, so no idea who I suspect for ' who walloped Cindy ' !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/01/2025 18:15

My money is on Bobby for Cindy's assault too .

I want to see the look of horror on Ian's face when he realises and says "You" ! like when he was found to be Lucy's killer .

I thought the really tall Peter - Dayle Hudson - was the weakest of the three who've played Peter as an adult. Ben Hardy was the best, for me.

Ohh , yes he was the best one !

Ben Hardy has tasted the fame of being Roger Taylor ( Queen not Duran Duran Grin ) so he might be too busy now though Eastenders is a high profile gig for an actor,
