i Know what people mean about the CC and weeping and wailing, I felt the same way about Bobby last year.

So they should just drop it as a category... It is unjudgeable anyway and blindness/deafness beats dead nans into a cocked hat imo. Why did they introduce it in the first place unless it has to be a dance they pick from the real ones.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 10/11/2024 18:14

@chaosmaker

I think it was introduced as an idea that with street dance and similar they could attract younger viewers (whilst ignoring their base)

Ain't it the truth.

I fucking hate dead nans.

🤣🤣🤣

chaosmaker · 10/11/2024 18:48

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit yep, makes sense when they're pushing for that ever younger demographic. Although I suppose it's one of the few programmes that appeals to multi generation viewing.

I liked telly better when there were 4 channels and you had to have quality programming to compete!

Here we go.

chaosmaker · 10/11/2024 19:19

Also ties in to everyone having similar cultural reference points etc. More cohesive society etc.

According to Shirley there's been a best-ever of every dance so far this season. What bobbins.

The best QS she’s ever seen on strictly?? - I can think of 5 better just off the top of my head 🤦🏻‍♀️

also bobbins should be used more often 😁

CrushingOnRubies · 10/11/2024 19:23

If there's a tie towards the bottom like Shane and Wynne both got 32 how do they decide the placements
They don't seem to do =10th or whatever r

Ah yes, the Grange Hill dance. A bit hamstrung by the BBC theme tune anniversary week!

It was great not having a themed week. The contestants all were recognisably themselves and costume were much more flattering.

None of the godawful wigs!

chaosmaker · 10/11/2024 19:25

Every week 'no one's ready to go home' said by one or the other of them. Except Pete who wanted to go early on and should have

GrouchyKiwi · 10/11/2024 19:26

Phew. Pleased for Montell. Not so pleased about Jamie & Pete, but there you are.

chaosmaker · 10/11/2024 19:26

I'dve voted off Johannes' skirt

RainbowSnake · 10/11/2024 19:26

Ooh I thought Jamie might be in the dance off. I can’t call this one at all.
