Wynne needs to go now- felt he has reached his ceiling.

EsmaCannonball · 02/11/2024 20:39

Look, I think Vito is one of the most attractive men on the planet but all through that dance I was having terrible flashbacks to being in a pub toilet circa 1994 and trying to do up the press-studs on one of those awful 'body' things after about nine Southern Comfort and Cokes and not being able to get the two ends to meet. How did they ever become a fashion item?

Amy telling Lauren she has admired her since the age of eight.❤That is some All About Eve level cattiness. They are going to become the new Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, I am telling you.

Sam being jerked across the dancefloor like when you're trying to change the duvet cover but there is no way on earth your cat is moving off that bed. ❤

Yes, she is definitely an icon but how many times was Rita Fairclough's Christmas wardrobe raided tonight? Wynne, Aljaz, Kai, Tess, they were all at it.

So, Craig was Noel Edmonds
Anton was that bloke out of the Speakmans
Pete was Yosser Hughes
Sarah was Elaine Paige
Sam was Olivia Newton-John
Nikita was someone who would play Blake Carrington's long-lost son in Dynasty circa 1986

'Like I was trying to get yogurt out of his hair.' What an analogy.

I actually liked that rumba. I like rumbas that are camp and dramatic and OTT.

Other than that, Icons Week seemed a bit pointless. Definitely one theme week too many and with no opening pro routine and no big moments it didn't seem vastly distinctive from any other week. Don't bother bringing it back.

2 for Sarah 1 for Wynne. Watching on catch up. I agree JB is better with Lauren. Shirlie and Motsi are annoying with their "girlie" shrieking before giving a 10. Darcy was too cool for that attention seeking nonsense. I miss Darcy

Samcro · 02/11/2024 20:46

What did Chris say to tess?

There is a poster - apparently a PBP - who comes on each week with a name change and is racist, ableist, and just plain unpleasant.

I know it's not you, don't worry!

So I see - it's grand, never thought you did! 😘

FreebieWallopFridge · 02/11/2024 20:51

That was disappointing. A lot of the songs didn’t go with the dances and it’s all a bit too gimmicky for me.

Oh, sorry, I completely misunderstood your previous post! Thought you were questioning, not agreeing with PP.

No more chocolates for Grouchy tonight!

I misunderstood it as well, tbh.

I haven't finished watching yet, but OMFG Vito is looking hot tonight 🔥

How is it "cattiness"? They're roughly the same age - Amy, 34, Lauren, 33.

gingercat02 · 02/11/2024 20:54

@Draxing that's so sad 💔

AnneShirleysNewDress · 02/11/2024 20:54

@Runnerinthenight Just what i said - someone appears to post every week with different usernames but the same nasty undertone.

LaMarschallin · 02/11/2024 20:55

Samcro · 02/11/2024 20:46

What did Chris say to tess?

When he said "That sounded better in my head"?
I was wondering that too - definitely missed whatever it was.
Anybody know?

Samcro · 02/11/2024 20:56

Yes I missed it. Tess was lost

MrsPeterHarris · 02/11/2024 20:57

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 02/11/2024 19:54

Is it just me or has Motsi really improved as a judge this year?

Shirley hasn’t…

I agree - she really is so much better with proper constructive criticism and less flamboyance for no reason!

MrsPeterHarris · 02/11/2024 21:04

I'm hoping Wynne goes this week but no idea who he might be up against!

Seasmoke · 02/11/2024 21:11

I didn't understand that. Did she see her in junior dance competitions? I thought Amy said something like ' Lauren introduced me' so she introduced her onto the dance floor- but that makes no sense if they were 7 and 8 at the time! I do love Lauren. She's an amazing dancer!

Seasmoke · 02/11/2024 21:12

MrsPeterHarris · 02/11/2024 21:04

I think Pete will go. He went first and was forgettable.

MrsPeterHarris · 02/11/2024 21:12

Amy did say she always looked up to Lauren & Lauren looked after her at Blackpool & how much she admired her!

MrsPeterHarris · 02/11/2024 21:13

I actually liked him this week @Seasmoke so I hope it's not Pete!

FagsMagsandBags · 02/11/2024 21:22

I hope that Pete goes sooner rather than later but I think he still has enough people voting for him to keep him on the show this week and probably a couple more weeks at least. It'll take better dancers than him losing out for him to be in the dance off. Like at least a couple of others he's reached his peak and I can't see him getting much better.

That said, I'm finding it hard to warm to most of them this year.

Samcro · 02/11/2024 21:25

I would rather Pete got to the final than a ringer (it won’t happen)

TennisWithDeborah · 02/11/2024 21:31

Icons week fell a bit flat for me. Much preferred Halloween. This week has been my least favourite.

Next week they’ll be dancing for a spot in Blackpool. An important week.

Im not sure that Wynne, Chris and Sam have much left to give. I’ve enjoyed watching them all for different reasons though. Dianne has been immense teacher.
