Oh I loved Ore I thought his Singing in the Rain routine was fabulous, but I'm sorry stone cold ringer or not Danny Mac's Samba with Oti was just amazing, nothing like it before and all the pros have been copying it ever since, yes Oti is a goddess but she needed a partner like Danny to pull it off. Funnily enough I don't think Kelvin would have done it the same justice.

Ringer or not, Danny Mac made a boring dance like the American Smooth ( to Misty Blue) as exciting as his samba. Loved him.
I used to love Aljaz but agree he shouldn't have been brought back this year. Kai deserved a chance with a ringer.

Whatever you think of Danny Mac, no one can deny that his and Oti's samba was anything less than breathtaking.

It was at that time, the highest ever scoring samba in Strictly history for good reason and I have yet to see any other samba performed on Strictly since, that comes close to that level.

I think Danny is the best dancer SCD has ever had…all his dances were superb. Their samba was incredible!

agree @Lentilweaver that’s my feeling re Alijaz …Kai/Carlos should’ve been given a shot …it’s not been thought out at all!

Re Aljiaz returning, I guess a quick decision had to be made when Graziano and Gio left. Maybe they didn't have time to source a new pro to replace Graz and Gio so went with an old favourite. I'm clearly in the minority not minding Aljiaz returning though

The news of Graziano's dismissal came the day after the announcement for Aljiaz's return.

Danny was fabulous and, I believe, the best male dancer that's been on the show but Ore won the final fair and square.

Think you’ll find that’s a widely held view perhaps not on here but Danny should have been the winner…

Danny was definitely robbed, but Ore had a great routine in his showdance that possibly tipped the balance.

I liked the two dances that Ore did that were possibly the least revered: his Hot Stuff cha cha complete with braceography and his very modern paso where Joanne looked like a cold war sleeper spy!

But Danny's American Smooth was sublime and just blew me away. I also loved their foxtrot.

Saw Lauren on the platform at Reading station today. She is lovelier in the flesh than on TV! Gave us a lovely smile.

Would so much have preferred Lauren over Nadiya, Luba,Nancy or Michelle this year.

I don't have much of a feel for Michelle yet, but I like Nadiya and Luba and Nancy is growing on me. Nadiya really shone when she had Dan Walker; they were clearly never going to win, but they seemed to have a laugh and work hard. She came across as very funny and warm. And I think Luba needs a sleb who's quite a good dancer and with a fun personality and then she'll come into her own.
Having said that, I love Lauren and am missing her in the main competition. I'm always pleased when she turns up in one of the pro dances to the musical guest.

Danny was an obvious ringer.

I'm out tonight and probably won't be able to catch up until after 3 tomorrow, as we have people over for lunch.

Will quickly watch individual dances before the results show.

Wilf chats to Lauren on Instagram and has met her at the Stage Door a few times...
He is doing some charity modelling tonight and is very excited!!
