Finally caught up. I can't believe Casper is still having to apologise for not finding 'curvy' girls attractive. Are the men on this programme not allowed to express an opinion and why the hell did the researchers not ask about something as basic as visual attraction before setting him up with Emma?

I reckon Shannon thinks it would be hard to be a fuckboi AND have had cancer. She probably feels reassured. Might not make sense to others but I can imagine it makes her see him differently. Also really interested in how pleased she seemed to be at him being a bin man - ‘none of my friends have got jobs like that’. I bet they are all influencer/PT types and she thinks someone with a normal job is less likely to fuck her around (although the history of mankind suggests she’d be wrong on that).

I watched it properly this morning and I really like Ryan. I am prepared that he may be a douche but so far he has a likeable energy.

He's a good looking guy but he is destroying it with the fillers, Botox, peels. No more please.

In the future we will probably watch people on TV with 4D style glasses so our brains can make sense of what messed up morphology has happened to their reconstituted faces.

Just caught up. There’s no way Casper chose to wear that roll neck. If you are in any way self conscious, you know a top like that, especially in that colour is a no, no.
Did Emma hide all his flattering clothes to make him look a total douche?

Everything about the new bride (big bow) screams unstable ….and if ever my mind thinks about getting a bit of work done, I need to watch this series again

@chickenlettuceunderbacon I get what you're saying and I don't disagree but the way it was done tonight irked me. I certainly don't think Ryan should have said nothing but it seemed to be a "things you have in common" thing, her eyes appeared to light up when he told her although that's almost certainly done to production team and editing. My piss was boiled by it all but your take on it is just as valid. Also, yes about meeting people who've also been through it/are going through it. I feel a kinship and respect. It's also good for the soul if you feel you can give them some information that's helpful. The operation I had is relatively unusual (oesophagectomy) and it's helping me to be in contact with couple of women I met in hospital. One who had her op a couple of weeks after mine, although because hers was elective rather than emergency she got to eat actual food ahead of me and I was jealous. The other will have her op at the beginning of November. She's having a shit time of it now and I am really able to help which helps me feel good about myself.

Sorry! Me, me, me! Sort of makes me wonder what impression each of us would give (or be edited to give) if we were on the show. I think I'd want to slap myself upside my head.

I do agree with what you've written too. I think in this instance, it immediately humanised Ryan in Rubber Lip's eyes as before his admission, she thought him to be a bit of a fuckboi.

Either way, and undoubtably, Cancer is shit full stop. Sending you much love.

I was surprised she thought the kid showed responsibility, as fuckbois frequently have them and fuck off (not in any way looking at Shitlid4kids here...). But I can see why she'd think his cancer may have given him a more mature attitude to life. Conversely though, it could have given him a 'life is short, cram in as much fun as you can' one.

Sionainn (apparently that's the spelling?) and Ryan look completely different in different lights. Similar to Amy. At some angles they look good and some awful. Are their faces designed for showing on TV/ social media lit in a certain way rather than actual life? Ryan seems ok so far but the didn't cope well with his diagnosis and linking this to his marriage breakdown sounds a bit sus. I'm wondering if he's a reformed cheat

I think this will be unpopular but I’m quite liking Shannon (I’m not going to try spell it for the life of me!)

So far she seems a lot like me and I like her style. I think I may be the only person on the planet… well at least this thread who really liked her dress and I loved her hair with the giant bow. I also spotted a gorgeous Tessa Metcalfe ring. She seems like the type of girl I could be friends with!

After hearing his friend say Casper definitely doesn't have a type, I think he would find a curvy woman attractive if he thought they were pretty. But he obviously doesn't think that about poor Emma.

Just caught up on last nights episode. Every year I think that they can’t find a bunch of people who have messed with their faces more. But each year it’s surpassed. I miss the days of natural people who actually want to fall in love. What will next years lot have to look like to get on the show.
