Bloody hell didn't realise she'd been on that! So she's dumped the kids and gone on tv shows a couple of times then, station must be doing a ton of kid sitting!

Coming out of lurkdom to have a rant! Just watched last night’s episode.

Echo what everyone has already said about Lacy’s mum. I’m not a veggie, but my god, I’d cater for them at a meal and would never ask them to chop meat! She could have quite easily cooked the veg in a separate pan. So much for her being a good cook if she couldn’t even manage that.

And she has a daughter with ADHD, so surely she would recognise and know how to respond to Nathan’s traits.

Finally, it was ok for her to have “banter” at the wedding about how much she fancied Nathan, but he couldn’t banter about how awful her (dogs) dinner looked!

Finally joining in as I've caught up after two weeks in holiday! Lacey's mum is frickin awful. Fake tears and everything. Nathan is a lovely boy, felt for him. Favourite groom ever is Kieran though. Reminds me of my son in law.

I'm going to need to catch up on last night's. I started watching it this afternoon but I was tired and it was dull so I fell asleep only having seen minutes of a preamble of Lacey's mum who is a horrid old biddy.

I didn't see the wedding ceremony and all that followed but Luke looks very much like an ex of mine who was called Luc. Because of this I think that he's probably an arsehole in disguise.

I’m just catching up with this week’s episodes and working my way through the thread (haven’t read it all yet). A couple of episodes ago when they were deciding whether to stay or go, Shitlid got quite a grilling for not wanting to shag Polly. Literally: Do you want to shag her or not?’ Then impatient/eye-rolly responses when he was non-committal in his answer. Don’t get me wrong, I think Shitlid is a bellend but I do think he’s allowed to not want to shag someone. I tried to imagine how it would feel to see the experts grilling a woman like that over sex, and the thought made me very uncomfortable, so I don’t think it should be any more acceptable this way round. And yes, I know he shagged her on the wedding night but that tea analogy works here- he might have wanted it then but he doesn’t want it now and that is completely fine!

I feel like they want him to admit he shouldn't have slept with her on the wedding night. It sounds like he used her and she's now hurt as a result and they're trying to hold him accountable. He needs to realise that he shouldn't use people like that.
That said, he has made it really clear he doesn't fancy her. He can't force himself and I don't think he should have to. It's a shame but it is what it is.

It really doesn’t sit right the way they interrogate him. But perhaps if they worded it “do you think there is any point Pershing this relationship?” It would be better and make more sense

If he hasn't admitted he shouldn't have slept with Polly I think it's better behaviour than doing so as that would be more humiliating to hear than 'i regret sleeping with you because I don't fancy you enough '. Plus she had agency and knew what he thought. I don't know that he deliberately used her. They probably both got carried away after a lot of drinks and forgot they'd have to face each other for however long this goes on. Adam is no gentlemen but he's not Brad.

First impression on Luke, he looks and acts like a gigolo. It's bleurgh.

Luke makes me think of a serious, non comedic version of the waiter in Benidorm. I can’t remember his name… I feel for his bride! He gave me the ick through the tv screen so Christ knows what he’s like up close and personal.

This is exactly it! He has a special false-seeming "pretty lady" mode when you want normal human being treatment plus a bit of extra interest and attention. Maybe it's partly cultural but Amy has no idea who she's speaking to in real life when he's going on like this!!

Agree with all regarding Lacey’s mum and sister. I’d think it’s fairly likely there are some ND or learning difficulties there. Reality TV Is full of people like this. Then of course the actual ‘scenes’ are often very contrived and participants are told what to do/say so the whole thing becomes a pantomime essentially, and Lacey’s mum was cast as the baddie to get everyone ranting on Social Media (you just have to hope it doesn’t spill over into real life for Lacey’s mum because although she might be an arsehole, she might also be quite vulnerable and unable to cope with backlash).

In a situation where someone has bought ingredients for a meal and then realised that one of those present is vegetarian, the very obvious thing to do would be to cook a separate meal minus meat for the vegetarian. Alternatively, someone could pop to the shop to buy something (they went to the shop for wine but didn’t buy something for Nathan to eat). Or Nathan could have ordered take out for himself instead of sitting there like a lemon while everyone else had dinner. The only possible explanations for this are either that everyone in that room was too stupid to work out what to do, or the whole scene was planned to play out like that and participants are not allowed to deviate from the script. (Or, Lacey’s Mum is a terrible person and Nathan is too stupid to make himself something to eat. Assuming they do actually live in those apartments, I’m guessing there was some other food in the cupboards/fridge that he could have eaten, even if it was just a sandwich!)

Maybe I’m giving it all too much thought 😂

And agree with PPs that Luke would give any woman the ick! He’s very handsome but has totally overdone the gym sessions (reminded me of Gaston) and is obsessed with presenting this image of himself as smooth, suave, perfect gentleman. How many women actually want a man like that? I like a person who is real, and above all else, doesn’t take themselves too seriously. I’d take Kieran over Luke any day. Will be interesting to see the real him emerge. This couple will definitely stir things up though. Most of the blokes will fancy the lady with frankfurters on her face, and most of the women will like the Malteser.
