Eve got off far too lightly. The UK experts are not good enough in these situations. Aussie John would have ripped Eve to shreds

Lacey's mum looks like a nightmare

A mum of a daughter with ADHD, asking someone with ADHD to look her in the eye to answer a question. What a wally

dapsnotplimsolls · 02/10/2024 22:29

Why was Lacey's Mum crying? FFS.

To be fair her other daughter Paige is EXTREMELY hyper and likes to pout and pose and stare down the camera lens so she probably does made good eye contact (or did when she was on dress to impress twice). It's almost like Paige is male stereotype ADHD and Nathan is female hidden ADHD. Although I'd been incredibly unsurprised if he was also autistic. I know there's an overlap but it feels a bit more than that

Completely agree. I'd like to have seen them ask her why she was spying on her "wife", why she had lied about Charlie shouting at her on camera and given that why should anyone belief anything she said about the things Charlie had allegedly done to her. She's behaved appallingly from the beginning of the honeymoon and has been let off nearly every last horrid thing she did and lie she told.

bumblenbean · 02/10/2024 22:33

I'm watching late so bit behind but omg the grilling of Adam was absolutely absurd. He's a dick no doubt- but he's made it perfectly clear he's not attracted to her, why does he have to keep repeating it and frankly why should he be lambasted for not fancying someone?! It's bizarre.

And of course none of the 'ixperts' bothered to call out polly's unreasonable behaviour at the dinner party - despite picking up on her meddling in eve and Charlie at the time. They were so obsessed with forcing Adam to change his mind on the sofa that there was no time for any actual advice on how to change behaviour!

Then he's given a ridiculous hypothetical question and when he answers honestly he's accused of trying to trade his wife and rejecting her. He can't win and their questioning was frankly manipulative and aggressive, especially Mel. She looked disgusted that he wasn't backing down and saying oh yes actually I do fancy her! FFS. Do these people actually have any experience in relationship counselling or are their qualifications mocked up in Clip Art?!

Also annoyed me the way Alex and others were muttering and shaking their heads at Adam - people in glass houses and all that.

I'm surprised Alex fancies Holly tbh - she doesn't seem like his type at all. 'Sexy MILF'?! 🙄

Agree with PP about Emma's confidence - she has a glowing complexion and does seem confident in her skin. although those white trousers she was wearing the other day were hugely unflattering....

They won't have "seen" the honeymoon edits yet though will they? I mean outwardly. I thought the only things the experts "knew" during the process was what they were told direct by the couples and what they saw at the dinner parties or when production had to step in.
So, in theory, they "wouldn't know" about the non-shouting incident until it was aired.

I rest my case in the autism. Many a discussion is had in our house that it is possible to be true and rude at the same time. She probably asked him if he liked it as he didn't eat much. He said no and all the things he didn't like about it. He would be sat there thinking what did I do wrong you asked me a question and I answered honestly

Pieandchips999 · 02/10/2024 22:43

Is it a spoiler if I say a product that Kieran is currently promoting as it's hilarious

Agree. I honestly think if Eve was as a man they would have gone in far harder and maybe even remove her

browneyes77 · 02/10/2024 22:52

I need to stop arguing on Instagram with children who don’t know what ‘narcissist’ means….🤣🤣

TwistedWonder · 02/10/2024 22:56

@bumblenbean

Totally agree re Adam and Polly. He obviously isn’t attracted to her so why do they think they can force him to fancy her? Polly seems to think that Adam should compromise by having sex with her despite not wanting to. If it was the other way round they’d be ripping into him for being an unreasonable sex pest.

Though no idea why he said stay

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 02/10/2024 22:59

Just caught up and just want to say that Sasha reminds me so much of Caroline Ahearne, definitely has her laugh.

Oh thank god! Fuck Eve and the manky horse she rode in on. I'm glad that Charlie has enough self respect to vote leave.

Do we think that Eve thought Charlie would vote stay and then they'd have had to stay which would have given her another week of gaslighting Charlie.

I thought the exact same.

Pieandchips999 · 02/10/2024 23:09

@TitsInAbsentia it's not really a spoiler so it won't quite fit there but it's hilarious I'll have to mention it when it finishes. Plus I'm trying not to read all of it. I just read the first post

Doubleraspberry · 02/10/2024 23:12

I’m not sure how many times I can watch dead relationships churning on. What else is left in the Polly/Adam story? Are we just waiting for a new bride to come in for him to shag? What is the point, really? He clearly doesn’t fancy her, won’t ever fancy her, no point in pressing him on it. BUT for whatever reason (fame hunting? Production pressure?) he then writes stay.

CheeseWisely · 02/10/2024 23:14

Caught up. A barrage of thoughts;

I love K&K. His story the other day about being made to wait outside made me well up. I hope they at least end up great mates for each other, if nothing else.

I too felt a bit sorry for shitlid, which is a feeling I never thought I'd have and one that does not sit comfortably.

If Lacey has been a trophy in the past it must have been for Sunday League. I enjoyed Nathan being completely oblivious to the dinner party drama.

Caspar & Emma, just fuck off now. I'm sure you're both lovely but in this context you're boring.

Holly looked she had two cabbage loaves strapped to her chest.

I'm delighted Eve and Charlie are gone. Eve is obviously a fucking horror who should have been raked far harder over the coals but I'm still not entirely sold on Charlie either. All this chat at the end about it being hard when you have feelings for someone; based on what exactly? One day of honeymoon before it imploded and has been utterly toxic for two weeks since? It's FAR too intense, still.

bumblenbean · 02/10/2024 23:16

Omg just found this picture of Eve 'before' (before what I'm not sure - before she came out?) She looks so bloody different!

"Nathan will be the WORST reporter from the dinner party."

You are so right, he was clueless, something happened down the end of the table!

She still looks like you wouldn't want to look at her pint funny though. She could start a fight in an empty room and convince the wallpaper it was its fault.

Italiangreyhound · 02/10/2024 23:24

MouseMinge

"Eve does love playing the victim. At least Charlie owns what she's done wrong, but apparently dead eyed Eve is still so terrified of her."

I must admit, I think I am a terrible judge of character! I was totally fooled by Eve and did not see her behaviour in the beginning at all!

I cannot understand that question to Adam. If another bloke came here and wanted to take Polly off your hands....A terrible question.

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 02/10/2024 23:25

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 30/09/2024 21:18

Did Mel just basically call Caspar a fat bastard on the telly?

I think he is getting a lot of stick but Emma very directly asked him ‘What is your usual type’ and he answered. It would be different if he just volunteered the info no?

Italiangreyhound · 02/10/2024 23:29

Lacey is looking so much better, is that she has had a make under and just looks normal and attractive and not over-made-up.

Who is styling these ladies! Holly could look so much better, her face is so pretty but the clothes are not nice.

I quite like Alex but as I said before, I am (I think) not a great judge of character!
