How child friendly is it meant to be?

Last week was all cute little fat babies and both DC loved it.

Would like to watch it with them again tomorrow, but not if it is likely to freak em out (seeing as I still get flustered about Daleks, I know how it can stay with you )

No, I didn't watch her sketch show and I still don't like her. I don't mind her when she's being normal - it's the comedy shouting I can't bear "yer eyes'll be in the back of your 'ed, darlin' " Sheeesh. Chop her head off already.

you are all missing the point. Doctor who is supposed to be naff, cringy and overacted. It always has been and it always should be! It's not serious drama or proper scifi - it is dr who and it's quite right and proper it should make your toes curl!

I love it!

she did a lot of bellowing in the comedy show as well, soren, i think that is what's getting on people's tits. bellowing's kinda CT's thang... i think there is a lot of promise there, though, certainly for the character. and who knowns, maybe some brave director has already tackled her about the cockerney shaaaaaaatin'?

Ripeberry · 19/04/2008 16:54

In last weeks episode when she was held down on the table to be "sacrificed", i could only imagine her saying "How very DARE you!" like the gay character she plays.
Just waiting for her and DT to have a "Am i bothered?" conversation.
In one of the papers, DT said that he avoids travelling on the London tube these days as the last time he did, he looked up from reading a book, to see the WHOLE carriage staring at him!
Scary or what?

Dh sat next to K9 on a train once, well K9 was on the floor but you get what I mean. You'd think a big star like him would take a taxi .

Right, I know it's hijacking but it's no good, I'm going to burst if I don't just say :- I saw John Barrowman at Brighton Dome on Thursday and he was brilliant/fantastic, ooh I'm still on a high! And he had Captain Jack's coat (which he bowed down to in an 'I'm not worthy'kind of way) and sang a song called 'The Doctor and I'. There! That's better!

Ripeberry · 19/04/2008 22:28

That's great Pixel! i'm so jealous! The only famous person i've ever met in person was John De Lancie "Q" from Star Trek and even then when he invited me to have a photo with him i just said i'll just have a photo of you.
Once you touch a famous person they aren't special anymore IYMWIM.

Pixel · 20/04/2008 00:51

Well he was on the stage this time so not in person but I did go to a book signing about a month ago and met him then, very briefly I might add as the queue was about a mile long! As my friend and I were waiting people kept coming up and asking what we were queuing for (giant posters in bookshop window obv not enough). We kept saying 'John Barrowman' and none of them knew who he was. Very strange as he seems to be on every other prog atm.
Anyway, some other kind person has put him on youtube.
