I really don’t like to run anyone down on their clothing but Suzy’s dress is dreadful.

None of these are going to have the "flawless" finish the judges want. 😂

They said expect. The judges do not expect, they hope as you said!

I feel Susy said in the interviews "I'm well quirky, me!" and now has to live up to it.

I know they have to cut out a pattern. But the term 'pattern cutting' is a specific skill, that none of them have, of creating the pattern pieces for a garment from an original design.

They are just putting a pattern they have already been given on fabric and Suzy says she isn't experienced in doing it! It's the first thing you do.

Why no weights or pins for cutting out

There is a lot of focus on Suzy in this challenge. Almost nothing on Luke.

None of those front seams look good. Do they not have access to an iron?!

Ailsa used pins, the others had weights. Luke uses a string of steel nuts for his which I thought was clever.

I often look at the ties in charity shops and try to think what i could make with them.
