I had to go out again, but very pleased for Matteo.
I think I saw on Sunday that Sascha was probably not playing Stuttgart, but not confirmed. Not surprising given how much he played over the last 2 weeks

Matteo was knackered after that. I only saw bits of it. There's a nice video somewhere of him going undercover in the Boss shop. He's a natural but I don't think he fooled anyone

I had to give up earlier- did see about 5 minutes of the Musetti match (I do like the shade of yellow he is wearing, much nicer than the brighter yellow doing the round in previous weeks).

We are having general internet problems. Though Sky is just rubbish full stop,really.

This is Rafa as flag bearer from a while ago

I remember Rafa winning in Beijing, and my memories of 2012 are of Delpo being robbed of a place in the final by a baby crying during his match against Federer (I hold grudges).

I got 'told off' on one of the 2016 tennis threads because I was supporting Rafa , and Delpo, and not Murray I did point out it wasn't the Olympics thread, and I could support who I like.

I wasn't very well during the 2012 Olympics and I was so grateful it was on because it kept the boys entertained during the summer holidays.

He looks very proud- I think he was very disappointed not to go to 2012, and obviously sacrificed RG 2016 really to make it to Brazil. I hope he does make it to Paris- it will probably be one of the biggest tickets in town, even with all the big stars there.

Sascha winning at the 2020/1 Olympics was pretty sweet- because he beat Djok to get there- and PCB beat Djok in the bronze medal match. .

Jane I can be quite patriotic about the Olympics- except when it comes to the tennis . Then, it's just another tournament, really.

I'd love to see Carlos and Rafa win a medal.

I’ll definitely be cheering for Rafalitos (sounds a bit like a disease you don’t want to catch!) Not sure if Carlos has ever played doubles?

I see Rafa has formally announced that he will not play Wimbledon because of the Olympics. No surprise really.
