Thanks for the new thread. Didn't see the final as I was at a (fairly) grand lunch at the submarine base at St Nazaire but I score watched whenever I could! AM abig fan of Iga so was delighted (and not surprised) that she won.

No real surprise that Iga won, would have been nice had the commentary been a lot less biased, I mean i don't even think Paolini thought she had a cat in hell's chance, but they could have sounded more supportive.

She's back on court this morning with Sara Errani, still smiling, which is nice to see. playing Coco and Siniakova (who used to partner Barbora Krejicova).

Quite a vocal match this!

Was a competitive first set, won by Gauff/Siniakova on a tie break- they seem to have the upper hand in the second set now.

Well done to Coco and Katerina- another loss for Jasmine, but she's still had a great weekend.

I will be supporting Carlos today- he is my Rafa back up- number 2 (Casper was back up 1 ).

Ultimately, I don't really mind- and it won't be as stressful as watching a Rafa final. Or watching a final willing Djok to lose

I really don't mind who wins. I think Sascha will be thinking this could be his only chance to win here!
