Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
Years ago, my young admin wanted to rush off home to catch Buffy on TV and I sort of scoffed a bit at the title, but she put me right and said no, it's not anything like as naff as it sounds, you'll really like it… she was so right.

I saw whatever episodes I happened to be watching TV at the right time for as a kid/teen, and as an adult remembered it as being pretty good. Mentioned it to DP, and he understandably assumed it was some standard teenage girl thing that he wouldn't find remotely interesting. (And I suppose it is a teenage girl thing, as much as it is anything else — it's just that that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be good TV.)

So I bought the box set and started watching with him in the room, and despite himself he was hooked by about the third episode Grin

Reacher. It was a friends idea that got both DH and I hooked - not my kind of thing at all, lots of fighting and angry blokes, but it was brilliant (and eye candy galore!)

As a result, following on we watched Jack Ryan - not as good, but decent.
Then The Terminal List which was very dark, but good.
Currently watching The Night Manager and enjoying it - so weird seeing Hugh Laurie as a baddie!
(Conversely tried Bosch, but gave up after the first series)

Oh and the new Roadhouse film. Bloody hell, not my scene at all, but brilliant!

A few shows on Apple TV - Slow Horses, For All Mankind, Severance.

There is some really good stuff on there and I wouldn't have thought to check it out.

The Serpent. DP kept telling me how brilliant it was. This was like a red rag to a bull, because I'm a bit stubborn and like things to be my own idea. But, yeah, finally watched it last week and loved it.
