Still sad we can't start this thread with better news of Rafa- but fingers crossed for the next one!

Saw the schedule was up for today, and it looks like Rafa must be playing Thursday, because I couldn't see him on it.

A few Brits playing today, so I know what Sky will be showing.

Monfils is playing today though, might be fun if they show it, obviously the top seeds have a bye. Get another chance to figure out how to pronounce 'Seyboth -Wild' if they show his match .

Talking of tennis themed films has anyone ever seen Confetti? Three couples compete to win a house by having the most original wedding and one of the weddings is tennis themed. It’s all very odd!

That Confetti film completely passed me by but it looks as if it had some famous people in it - Olivia Coleman, Stephen Mangan and er Jimmy Carr - sounds fun!

Not seen any tennis today but will hopefully get to see Rafa tomorrow - can’t believe he’ll be playing a 16 year old - he has got a look of Ben Shelton - not really sure what to expect from the match - he could either be overawed or just go for it

I think Darwin’s brothers are called Ulises and Dali so their parents obviously had high hopes for them (although they spelt Ulysses wrong!)

I’m worried about Rafa. He wasn’t able to serve properly in Monte Carlo, and his movement wasn’t great either. It’s tough for him when he sets such high standards for himself, he clearly doesn’t want to play RG for the final time and exit in the first round.

Ice no, he wants to play, but he still wants to be competitive- and he isn't feeling it yet. I think he feels an obligation to play in Madrid because it's 'home turf', which makes me think, if he still feels the same, he won't play in Rome (despite all his wins there). The conditions/courts in Rome are supposed to be more like those in RG though, so maybe he will.
