Ok have now at last watched all.
Was not really engaged by it and had real difficulty with dialogue being at different levels etc..
So obviously for anyone who hasn't finished this will be a spoiler post!
So I think I understood most of it by the end, ie sister and brother just copy catted earlier murders to try and cover up what had happened.
But the original murders then seem to be some sort of group effort ie the man who hanged himself had "trophies" and some were found right at the end in the abandoned house.
Or did I misunderstand.
And in a number of scenes we saw a car usually filmed from low down, and always with music playing which I assume is the person who appeared in the abandoned house.
Was there ever any hint who that was? It cant be the man of the boy who died from heart failure because he was in jail, but he handed the photo to the journalist. So if it was a gang it seems there must have been quite a few of them. (At one time I started to think the Sargeant was part of it!)
Is a second series confirmed? Really good ploy to end on such a cliff hanger, because unless the first series had been a total washout, of course viewers and can ask for more!
I thought Acushla-Tara Kupe was really good as Diana. (I had to look up her name and its says she is one of a triplet!)
I thought the Richter character really boring and the added "drama" of a newly discovered health problem just silly.
Why cant detective just be ordinary people having to do difficult jobs?
I wonder what the Maori community thought of this.
