This is new to me but started a year or so again on acorn tv

When a friend dies under suspicious circumstances, Pearl finds herself in conflict with g

Is the one starting tonight the first series or second?

LIZS · 14/03/2024 14:23

First I think

martinisforeveryone · 14/03/2024 14:37

I jumped ahead because I'll be doing something else tonight and I wanted to watch.

No spoilers, just noting that I've only been to Whitstable once and I love the setting, but also, and please look out and tell me if it's me, my TV set or do you agree, like other series I've seen lately, some of the scenes look unnecessarily dark, I mean the filming, not the content.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2024 18:59

I thought about it but as no subtitles on download I will watch Tom as working tonight

OP posts:
Clawdy · 14/03/2024 19:33

If I record it, will subtitles be available?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2024 20:39

Yes @Clawdy I've it set for 9pm and says S

But if you download it , it doesn't

Thanks!

There's a lot of good stuff on the Drama channel at the moment but it's all in SD. If you download their programmes from the UK TVPLAY app, you can get it in HD. The app is available on Sky catch up. So much better

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2024 22:33

I use U.K. play quite a lot

Best thing of it has subtitles

But obv have to watch once been on

Really liked that! Whitstable is my happy place and I love a good murder mystery!

Clawdy · 15/03/2024 08:05

Yes, I enjoyed it too, will be watching next week. I liked Pearl, her son, and the grumpy detective!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/03/2024 10:45

Just seen

Enjoyed

Easy watching and nice it's semi local

martinisforeveryone · 15/03/2024 12:47

I enjoyed it, despite my earlier criticism of some visual issues with the dark scenes. Maybe it's my TV needs adjusting, but it isn't the same across everything.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/03/2024 13:02

Tbh I didn't think much of the screen was dark so maybe your tv

mum2jakie · 16/03/2024 11:14

I enjoyed this too. Grumpy detective was an interesting character. Not so sure about the Pearl role as yet but definitely watchable.

EndlesslyDistracted · 16/03/2024 19:15

Just watched it, TBh it didn't really draw me in but it was easy enough to watch, its got potential.

LIZS · 16/03/2024 20:02

Just watched. Hope it picks up the pace a bit because it felt overly contrived. Rather too much licence with the locations and where was all the traffic! Is her beach house in Tankerton?

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/03/2024 19:50

E2 tonight

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2024 19:41

No one watch it last night ?

OP posts:
martinisforeveryone · 22/03/2024 21:02

I've watched it, but not in real mainstream time, so I keep quiet until others have seen it 😁

I like the series. I like it a lot more than say Beyond Paradise, is that what it's called?
