I think we should try to stick to the no spoiler ruler but totally get with this one it was plastered all over the news and such so tricky to avoid. Should we still do our best to not talk about these things on this thread and just on the spoiler thread or is it different when something is in the news like this one was?

I can understand both sides of the coin of some knowing this wanting to discuss it and not go the spoiler thread to see any spoilers and others who want to keep this completely as a watch and discuss thread.

I haven't seen it outside of this thread, so I think we should carry on not discussing it.

I happened to be scrolling through threads in on and caught the spoiler by accident.

I must say, I'm not quite sure I understand how an actor announcing that they are leaving a programme counts as a real spoiler if it's already all over the news - it's hardly going to be a surprise exit for the vast majority of people. I don't count it as a plot spoiler as nobody has mentioned the plot vehicle which will take him off the programme. But that's just how I see it myself, and I actually love spoilers so I suppose my opinion probably isn't valid

I haven't seen it recently anywhere other than here. Then again, it feels as if I've been reading that he's been leaving for literally years on and off, certainly since long before the 'finale'. I thought this was just another one of those.

I hadn't seen it in the news at all. (I suspect it depends what type of news you look at!) I avoid tv mags and don't visit the neighbours webpage for the exact reason that I don't want to risk seeing any spoilers. So I'd really appreciate it if these sorts of things aren't talked about on the no spoilers thread.

He’s been on a few shows talking about it like breakfast shows and such but I think it’s clear that we should just air on the safe side if we see something and just not discuss it here but for anyone who’s not aware we do have a spoiler thread here where all can chat away: Spoiler Thread
