I couldn't see properly on the small screen I was watching on - did Vic's laptop show he actually has a lot of money in the bank rather than none?
If so, combined with his parenting attempts, I wonder if he's got a terminal illness and has come to bond with the family/make amends for past mistakes.
I fear this could also be the lead-up to Mike and Jane splitting and Mike's exit!
Not sure what I think of Vic yet, but I do love the actor in real life, Craig Hall, I loved him in A Place to Call Home.

Yes apparently it's because aussie birds swoop at passers by, (possibly only when you go near their nests/territory) and can hit you in the head. (Seriously, is there an animal in australia that doesn't kill you? ). The cable ties stick up so the birds only clip them, instead of yer bonce.

But it's a bit of a running joke. I've definitely seen bike riders do that over there, but I think half the people roll their eyes at them, and the other half believe it. I think there was a bit of a story when Karl first did it many years ago. Maybe it was a topical local news thing at the time.

Poor Dr Karl! I've never understood the point of a surprise party. Why make someone feel sad and miserable all day just for surprising them with a couple of hours of fun. I'd much rather be appreciated all day.

They forgot to change the date of birth on the photo of Nell in Karl's gift. Yes I'm that geeky I zoomed in. It gave her date of birth as 2012 making her 12 now as she should be instead of 15 😂

But we are surely going to get some extended family for Andrew soon. They've talked about him being adopted for so long now. Birth parents/siblings must be on the horizon. And if it's a long-lost previous character returning I would love that!

Just touting the idea now that Jane Harris left Erinsborough in 1989 after being in a relationship and splitting up with Des Clarke. Imagine if they turned out to be his birth parents?! I would love that!
