I love MAFS Australia, and it's started again this week in Oz. Does anyone fancy a watch along? I watch on SouthHemiTV.

Already desperate to discuss the first two couples.

May have been a work colleague. I do find it odd you find one age-gap relationship (if it involves Timothy) a worse history and indicator of character and taste than Jayden's sick revenge fantasy. Dicky's last relationship was with someone 27 years younger than him.

I find it odd that you think you can read my mind. At no point have I said any of that. I find it odd that some people are vilifying Jayden and canonising Timothy. It’s not Jayden who’s telling his wife to keep quiet and thumping tables. Why you’ve decided to introduce the relationship history of another totally unrelated person is also a mystery.

I thought it was relevant to mention ole Dicky's well-publicised recent relationship with a woman who was 27 years younger than him, given you made a point of underlining Timothy's relationship with a woman of 23, which we've only heard about in a passing comment - that would be a woman 27 or 28 years younger than he currently is; although we don't know when this was.

BIossomtoes · 01/03/2024 09:05

I mentioned it in response to your belief in the assertion that all his relationships begin as friendships. He clearly has a penchant for younger women - as a pp observed if he’d been paired with anyone under 35 he’d have been in there like a rat up a drainpipe. No comment on him telling his wife to keep quiet and thumping the table, then? That’s OK, is it?

You're just making things up now.

He thumped the table, yes. I have no comment on that. I thought Lucinda handled that well with him.

I’m not making things up. It’s a hypothesis. Odd that you have no comment on disgraceful behaviour enacted in front of your eyes. Hopefully you’ll never be called for jury service. I’m done. I’m way too invested in this.

If that's the worst thing you think I've witnessed or experienced... Please. You have no idea.

I’m done.

Hallelu.

Chaiselongueallday · 01/03/2024 09:58

They've really been scraping the barrel this year. I found Tory's behaviour last night quite shocking...clearly projecting her defensiveness at being with a dick! Don't think much of Ben, Tim or Jayden either. Dregs.

Thegoodbadandugly · 01/03/2024 11:03

How are you all so ahead? I can find episodes on YouTube but from episode 12.

Episode 11-1

Australia's most controversial social experiment returns with another addictive mix of love and drama.

Thank you!

StartupRepair · 02/03/2024 06:35

The men are all so damaged and immature.

FenellaBestwick · 02/03/2024 08:35

I shouldn't say it, but I'm looking forward to Tori having the wool pulled from her eyes. She's in for a big wake-up call.

Thegoodbadandugly · 02/03/2024 09:12

So Madeleine is an actress that explains it!!!

I know, it's like what do you expect these poor women to do with this material 🤷

StartupRepair · 02/03/2024 12:01

I don't know if Madeleine is very mentally unstable or just pretending but either way the producers could not work with it.

Couldn’t agree more. There isn’t even a good one to show the others up this season. They’re all varying degrees of awful.

FenellaBestwick · 02/03/2024 20:05

Apart from Lucinda, she seems calm & grounded.

chaosmaker · 02/03/2024 21:00

Finally binged the lot so far.

I like Lucinda although I thought she'd be too much in the wedding and think that Timothy has Jack Nicholson vibes. I don't think if Lucinda was younger necessarily that he'd have slept with her already. He's too hurt and defensive. Loved her dad and their conversation. Shades of it when Lucinda told Jack off at the beginning of the dinner party.

Cassandra is gorgeous which she clearly gets from her dad. I like Tristan but think he's too damaged for the ixperiment.

Really thought that Lauren would be a dick but she's been sold a pup in Jonno who put Jack ahead of her when she was trying to warn Tori about what had been said.

Tori and Jack are a combined waste of DNA and a Bronte/Harrison jobby. Anyone who uses 'bro code' in a sentence is an idiot.

Andrea is beautiful and don't think she got a good deal with the old guy.

Jayden, I think means well and him and Ellie? seem to be getting on well. I think the revenge thing was dumb to bring up. It was a condition of the cheating ex getting back with him so it didn't have to happen at all and is inconsequential.

Sara's dress looked painful as if it was digging in too much. Her bloke is ok.

Binged it over 3 days and can't remember all the names lol.

moderationincludingmoderation · 02/03/2024 21:35

i'm only up to episode 11 so haven't read the whole thread for fear of a spoiler.. but is anyone experiencing issues with the shh video? It was working really well til today and now not showing the video..!
I am desperate for the rest..!
How else do I watch?!
HELPPPP

FenellaBestwick · 03/03/2024 07:50

Just checked my shvid link and it looks ok. Have another go.

News124 · 03/03/2024 09:45

Does anyone know what time SHV will upload today’s episode?!

brittanyfairies · 03/03/2024 10:09

@News124 usually around midday

Anyone watched yet?

I knew Stephen wasn't feeling it and that the whole 'I'm second choice' thing was an excuse. Poor Michael. I think it would have been kinder for that conversation to happen before the couch. I know it's not Stephen's fault that he feels the way he does, but it was a bit of a blindside and Michael looked like he was going to cry.

Nothing to say about Ben that the experts didn't say. What a strange little man he is.

Tori. Baffling.

Merryoldgoat · 03/03/2024 13:41

I’ve watched.

Tori - bizarre
Really felt for Michael
Warming to Sara
Ben - just weird
Lucinda has patience of a saint

Agree with all the comments below and that upcoming couples retreat looks like a juicy one!
