Layla has been in Dancing on Ice so probably deliberately having a quiet spell in the village which is why she's not been seen.

I took quite about a years break from watching Emmerdale, but I don't remember it being like that before.

They do block filming now @excelledyourself so if an actor isn't in the six week block they just disappear for ages. I preferred the old method of background/centre stage swaps. It looked way more realistic and meant you could have people commenting on whatever was going on without having to be over involved in the story.

All the animals have disappeared completely. Where is Vinny's dog?

Don't watch it either but know she went out quite early

Don’t worry @JaneJeffer i didn’t stray lol. So from what I can see, block filming was introduced during Covid but for some reason, the soaps are still doing block filming even though we don’t have any restrictions anymore so surely they should do normal filming now instead of this?
