A once in a lifetime event occurred. At 6pm my 4 year old asked to go to bed. I put him off as didn't fancy a 5am wake up call on a Saturday. 6.45ish he's in bed. I'm tidying. Sits down and think wow emmerdale live and I can even get a bingo suggestion in BUT NO. Should have checked earlier. 6.45?! Bloody cheek. On catch up now.

I enjoyed the dinner party. It was a bit of light relief from the endless angst between Bob and Nicola and Jimmy.

Nicky wasn’t long in filling her in on all the Dingle gossip. She must have had to take notes. No mention, unless I missed it, on whether she knows all the crazy details about NickyNanny’s engagement and almost marriage to Gabby.

i hate when they bring in OTT characters. They usually tone them down after a while though.

I was confused by their chat yesterday but I was cooking and missed various bits. I thought Nicky only came out to Caleb after he was engaged to Gabby and couldn't go through with the wedding??

I don't think she's been too OTT really. I think they were trying to establish the relationship she has with Nicky a bit forcefully because they think we don't understand anything unless it's spelled out for us! I think she did a good job today because it must be hard to join an established cast and then have to take the lead in a scene and having to act pissed while you're doing it.

I can’t clearly remember now if Caleb didn’t know that Nicky was gay. It was a very confusing period in Emmerdale and it doesn’t take much to confuse my ageing brain.
