Have I missed Leyton being announced in any West End musicals? I usually plan my year's entertainment in January.

According to the Mail (I know…) Amanda has asked for the training footage from her time on Strictly to review in regards to Giovanni’s behaviour 🤔 It also claims she’s been diagnosed with PTSD, presumably as a result of her time on the show. No wonder Giovanni is diversifying with his fragrance line and his touring- he must be a little worried about the potential fall-out of all this.

I really hope that is not true @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross . Good heavens!
I feel sorry for Gio, two years with rubbish partners.

Amanda just seems like very hard work.

Laura Whitmore seems to have had a similar experience. Maybe it took an older woman to say hang on a minute?

Afaik, Laura Whitmore only said she found being together for 12 hrs a day and doing all the publicity exhausting.

I do think that unless Gio was an absolute tool- seems unlikely given it's all filmed- Amanda was very ungracious not even appearing in the final.

I’m not surprised to hear this about Giovanni. There have been concerns about him for years, I’ve never liked him and felt he was a bit of a bully. However he was wonderful with Rose and I thought he’d changed. Clearly not!

I do blame the Strictly bosses though. If so many people have voiced concerns about him they should have investigated properly, in order to protect him, his partners and the show.

Wouldn't be surprised if Giovanni doesn't want to do the next series. He's not doing the main strictly tour, has his own tour with dozens of dates from January to end of April. Whatever the truth of whether he's difficult, shouty or demanding or just a personality clash with some partners, he's probably had enough.

If she has trauma its more likely to do with her boyfriend's accident and life changing affects. It's wrong to blame Strictly and Gio.

And to be fair, she hasn't said herself that she has PTSD. A friend said she had. Amanda has said very little, it's all speculation and people drawing conclusions from Instagram posts and likes.

Let's assume for arguments sake, Gio's a slave driver, humourless, horrible and a pain to be taught by. Result: a 50 something woman with a lot of experience in a competitive industry has a rotten few weeks and decides to quit.

That's not PTSD.

You can’t possibly know what went on in the rehearsal studios.

You do know that PTSD can be caused by one event?

I have always liked Gio, and his great choreo. The "nicer" pros seem to produce extremely mediocre dancers.

But of course, I don't know what went on in the studio, so I reserve the right to change my opinion!

@LizzieSiddal yes of course, but the event in this case was a few weeks of dance lessons.

Laura Whitmore didn't want to be paired with Gio because he had recently broken up with a friend of hers.

He seemed to get on well with Debbie, Rose and Faye. Laura strikes me as likely to be rather lazy and certainly a whinger

How do you know that? You don’t know if it was one specific incident, or several.

Post Traumatic Stress DISORDER. No she will not have a disorder because of dance lessons. Maybe it was stressful but a disorder no.

I’ll make my point yet again. It’s not the fact she was “having dance lessons”, it’s what happened to her during these lessons.

... I don't think it is like that, though. I guess we're disagreeing about what counts as PTSD, rather than whether or not Amanda suffered from it; and however many times you make your point, @LizzieSiddal, we probably won't agree.

Lizzie she may have some post anxiety reactions but a disorder NO.

The gossip at the time was that she wasn't meant to be paired with him originally, and then it was switched for the drama when he broke up with Georgia.
