The dance-a-thons? They used to choose a dance like the jive and they'd all do it but leave one by one?

Kevin at least had a little time to work on the dance, and didn't have to do three dances. I would have thought an understudy would need to do at least some preparation for the final.

I think the last one was when Bruno of all people had to save it, when Shirl couldn't do the scores!?!

Maybe they have more gapping because they're afraid of their balls clashing?

So far, Layton, Bobby and Ellie. Poor Ellie didn't shine in her first performance. Lets see what the next one brings.

That was better again. Good to see improved technique in with the Layton pizazz.

Some years they had a -thon where all the couples danced at the same time - they styles varied over the years. I don't think they've done it since the Great iPad Meltdown of Series 16.

Only just able to tune in. Grrr.

I love Layton and Nikita when they are dancing as two men- that's exciting and progressive and produces interesting choreography.

When Layton looks shocked i dont believe it, it feels like hes acting the majority of the time.

Its a bit much for Craig and Anton to say Layton hasn't been any good in the ballroom all season when I don't remember them saying anything at the time, or giving him advice to that effect when it was obvious that he wasnt dancing well in hold.

@Minimammoth @ilovebrie8 I think they stopped because one year (2018?) the judges completely fucked the scoring of it and just never did it again

Layton is miles better than the others but I doubt he will win. I've enjoyed watching him dance more than the others so I'm glad he made the final. And I disagree there's no joy. His dancing is pure joy of dancing.
