Sooooooooooooooo

22 kids is back. No doubt most have seen what they have been up to via their instagram /Fb pages but they are back for Christmas social and possibly new series

But I haven't seen it all. Know lots of holidays have been had which has annoyed many who can't afford to heat and eat and go for one weekend away

Let alone countless holidays

But let's see what happens in this Christmas special

The tattle threads are brutal. To anyone. Whether radfords or Casey who was on rich/poor holiday swap and a known icon

They can be really horrible but many do mention how she was raped /groomed

It's interesting re watching the early kids and counting as are so diff

Bet the 6/7/8/9/10yr in them now so teens /adults watch and see theirselves and think omfg

Current one after mc went camping in France via driving as that's the only holiday they can afford and said no to a zoo trip which I think was 240 for them all

When did it all change to fancy holidays ?

Currently sue is preg with no 17 but will sadly lose alfie and Sophie is preg with no 2

Must be weird both times she is preg her mum is as well

Loosing Alfie should have really been a wake up call. I know things happen and having a miscarriage/ stillborn is horrendous and I know it's not the woman's fault but surely the dr mentioned this?

Yeah in the KAC it was all tightly edited and they came across as a down to earth, hardworking family. The more they showed of themselves, the more they exposed themselves as two chaotic parents who were not meeting the needs of any of the children. A lot of child rearing was down to Chloe and then Katie and Aimee. It was more feeding time at the zoo than family dinners.
The excrement will hit the fan sooner rather than later I fear. The younger dc are all used to constant materialism and expensive holidays. There will be no interest in them in a few years.
I read Jill Duggar's book and she said the money became like a drug for her dad. I really wouldn't be surprised if Sue and Noel split up in a few years and she or some of the girls will do a tell all.

Even in one of the older series there was an episode where they were showing holes in the walls where kids had been fighting, and laughing about how many tvs they had damaged. They had no idea who did it or how the tvs had been pulled of the wall or broken. With Sue occupied with baby and several preschoolers, (who obviously need close attention) it seemed a bit of a free for all for anyone of school age or above

They were pretty blasé about it but I'd be worried about kids getting hurt if there's a TV coming off the wall...as well as no consequences for fighting or breaking expensive items (and potentially hurting someone in the process)

All of these really big families say the same thing, after number 3 or 4 you don't feel an extra one. That's because they are only focused on the newborn, the others are all numbers. Parenting to them is putting food on the table and having clean clothes. There's no discipline, no individual time, no nourishment. They rely on the older children to do all of that. When they started vlogging it really hit home how much Sue relied on the girls, from birth Chloe was doing night feeds and having 2-3 toddlers sleeping with her at a time. I remember one vlog where Sue had to ask Aimee if one of the babies had slept well, as she had her the whole night. She was only about 3 months old and Aimee was about 14!

At end of 17kids sue says not sure if want anymore /do it again after alfie stillborn july 2014 and she's almost 40 etc

Noel says yes he can Imagine more kids

Hallie was born June 2015 so literally 2mths after Alfie was stillborn she was preg again

Once Hallie was born , 4mth later preg with phoebe

6mths after phoebe was born preg with Archie

And few months after he was born preg with Bonnie

Then seemed the longest gap of 8/9mths peob as she was then 45

and they end up having another 5 after alfie

Sophie kept saying when lreg with no 2 why wouid her mum keep doing this

Obv Sophie went on to have no 3 born 2015 sue was preg again

So every time Sophie was peg sue was preg having another baby /sibling to her grandchildren

I watched some of it but it’s such set up nonsense I turned it off.

HoHoGo · 05/02/2024 20:05

I can't watch it any more - it just feels exploitative now. The kids can't consent to having their whole lives put on tv; it must be so damaging for them. And they make them all look so feral and gormless.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2024 20:45

The older ones 15/16/17:18/19/20 etc are a lot better

And funny seeing Millie saying no to kids and has 3 now by 21

19 and went over to oz to meet Austrialias largest family bonells 16 kids

Ahh I remember the Aussie family! With all their colour-coded laundry and the kids were so well-behaved. I wonder if they managed to have more babies like they were hoping.

lioneggs · 05/02/2024 21:30

Why didn't sue take Chester and Ophelia to her house??

Also- the way they pass the newborn babies round all the kids I'm not surprised Elodie has RSV, poor thing

What sue did was common sense

Stairgates

And eating with child. They were all on sofa eating in other room and Chester in highchair alone

Or was this a fake as well

Surely anyone with a toddler has a stairgate ?

And you take a table into kitchen or highchair and Mat into living room as I did when dd was little as

I think I remember reading once that Jenny Bonnell had cancer?

Eta: quick Google shows diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2017. It returned in 2021. Can't find anything else more recent, hope she's OK.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2024 10:08

They seemed a nice family @madderthanahatter

Dad was also adopted so does make you wonder do you want more kids if adopted

Seems both sue and Noah's birth parents were young and in programme said they had to give up

Then we didn't give

But they had support from sues adopted parents

45/50yrs ago if preg and obv unmarried and a teen parent they had no choice

I do vaguely R.E.M. Noel trying to meet his birth parents possibly in s1/2 of ch5

But can't R.E.M. what happened

Did he bottle out ?

If birth parents watching they may not want to get in contact knowing whatever they say or so will be filmed /mentioned on tv

@Blondeshavemorefun just looked them up on insta and thankfully Jeni is very much alive and well. Yeah they came across nice, I think their beliefs are somewhat in line with the Duggars.

Noel was literally abandoned as a newborn, which was most probably a concealed pregnancy and unmarried mother. I'm sure I read somewhere that Sue was one of six or seven who were all adopted. Not sure if that's true or not, but Sue is aware that she had a name at birth.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2024 17:29

She was called Catherine I think

It was that her birth mum

That name came up recently

Yes that's the name I had in mind. I think I heard it on the last KAC as that's the last time I really watched them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/02/2024 17:53

Wonder if her mum doesn't contact her due to who she is
