The show definitely feels off tonight as none of the semi-finalists have earnt the right to be there without the public vote. They are there because Nigel is injured and yes he may well have been in the bottom two but we will never know. Two in the final would have been fine as that’s what used to happen in the earlier series. Three is fine but four is overkill and never felt like a final.

If Annabel continues to be bottom of the leaderboard next week, and there are no ties above her, then she's probably going to have to top the public vote to avoid the dance-off. I reckon she's only second in the public vote, behind Ellie.

Don’t get me wrong, whilst I think Layton is a fabulous dancer, the other 3 have been in more of a ‘journey’

Well, the non results results show was understandably boring, but I absolutely loved last night's Chorus Line tribute. Gio was pitch-perfect as the choreographer in it.

It's very much the "performers musical" - the whole thing is set at an audition, and perfectly captures the slightly desperate but excited feeling you get when auditioning for a show you desperately want.

Karen, btw, is playing the part of Cassie, the former Broadway star who hasn't worked in over a year and whom the director says he can't possibly cast in the chorus because "you're too damn good." Basically, she's Leyton - unable to dance "down" to the level required, even when it's to their detriment.

Anyway, I loved it. Going to rewatch it now.
