Ah that's who else, couldn't remember. It's just not imaginative enough!

Just watched back Katya and Joe on you tube. WOW ! I think Katya was ground breaking!

I always thought that and loved Joe McFadden.

Katya and Joe's samba to Money Money was terrific. Genuinely original and surprising. She is an excellent choreographer, streets ahead of Carlos some of the others.

Their samba is on my strictly playlist, just brilliant, she is such a good choreographer when she's on her A game.

Just to show off my SCD geekiness, but the very first couple to use “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” were Brendan and Natasha K back in the mists of time that was Series 1 - they used it for their Showdance in the Final, and yes they did the lift.

Me too. If every tom dick and harry can do it, it's not that special! That's what I hate about dancing on ice. I remember watching Torvilie and Dean doing that at the Winter Olympics when I must have been about 10. It was absolutely mesmerising. Now watching every soap actor do some crappy version of it has taken that away. Why can't they do another song?

I love Katya’s choreography and I have to say my favourite for joyousness is Ed Balls and Gangham style - my joy I hasten to add. I also loved the Matrix themed Paso with Seann Walsh. I’ve just rewatched the Joe McFadden ones as well and they were fab-u-lous. I think she knows how to bring out the strengths of her partners. I think Kristina Rihanoff had that too. I do wonder what Bobby would have been like if Katya had choreographed him.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s show. Could possibly be Nigel/Bobby dance off because of Bobby’s CC bye last week. Although Annabelle might be in the mix.

Like the guy on the Friday Panel, I, too, hope Nigel connects with his Mary.

Speaking of Katya and her ground breaking choreography, does anyone know how much input Neil had in those dances mentioned? I know when he joined the show he was a choreographer and I think he did a lot of her dances (but not sure how much was his choreography vs hers).

Would be interesting to know, although agree with other Katya is fabulous and comes across as a great teacher who's willing to put in some tricky moves.

Must be quite bad if he’s had to pull out altogether - don’t they usually just get a week off? Unless it’s because it’s so close to the final they think it would be too unfair for him to have a week off.
