I remember thinking that Johannes should have dialled it back a bit when dancing with John. I think Layton needs to dial it back a bit - not in terms of skill etc but the whole stage school jazz hands type thing, he needs to learn to mirror Nikita more.

We don't make personal jibes to each other on these threads. Nor do we "call people out." We've always agreed to disagree unless someone drops a spoiler on purpose, in which case we are all united in linking arms with pitchforks!
Some of us have been on these threads for years. Some of us (not me sadly) have proper dance knowledge too.
All of us have our views on each contestant. It doesn't mean we're always right.

Oh and Ange was knackered because she was filming the new series of Rip Off Britain this week as well as rehearsing. She did very well considering. I'd have done a Denise Van Outen, "just sat on a chair" throughout, and called it jazz!

I’m not often compelled to stick my oar in @SequinsandStiIettos but I thought @jellykat got a rough trot there and it seemed a bit personal although I get that I’m as bad for saying it was harsh, but it touched a bit of a raw nerve. I’m sorry for that @FelicityGraceSpoon.

I love that we disagree madly on here. It’s one of my favourite places to be on a Sunday.

I also love Mans. I have no idea how to add his dot above the a though. God know I’ve tried.

Nobody will love me shortly as I absolutely love Layton and his partnership with Nikita and would love them in the final. I also adore Bobby but I don’t think he can match Ellie and Layton.

I will still love you as I'd also like Layton in the final doing his QS, AT and FS and, like Ashley and Faye, getting 120/120 for all of them!

I saw him lurking at the back beside Neil last night

My favourite is AngelaS. There’s something very attractive about her personality and her dancing has improved week on week. I though her dance tonight was sensational.

I felt a bit sick watching the dance-off when Bobby was making all those mistakes…..I actually thought he was potentially going to be eliminated because it was so bad.

Thank God he wasn’t.

I think he will be out next week though, followed by Annabelle the following week.

I don’t think Nigel should make the final as he just doesn’t have any sparkle. I actually thought he looked quite gutted when he realised he wasn’t going to be in the dance-off 😬

I reckon he’s going to purposefully screw up big style next week simply because he wants out of there!!! 😂

Re Layton, I can’t help but feel his Show Dance in the Final might be a let down as he’s putting all his flash moves into the dances now. Anything he does in the Final will probably be met with “seen that”.

I was just thinking similar. He'd have to strip at this rate.

What he should do:
a flourish-free, make-up free, barefoot, no gimmicks, beautiful contempowaft

What he could do:
a Fred Astaire, top hat and tails classy number

What he might end up doing:
a Billy Porter-caped, latex-gloved, sequinned, glittered and guylined number to Todrick Hall's Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels with a cartwheel, twerk and deathdrop finish.

I can take any of them but the Fared Astaire would be his best shot.

I do love that Todrick song though!

Me too, it just feels like it's been done. (It has been done on Masked Dancer by one Craig Revel Horwood but also in a DWTS series) whereas we haven't had a big contempowaft finale since Caroline. Ashley's came close, I liked that one with Pash apart from the funky chicken move.
