I think the Angelas and Annabel might be in trouble this week.

Lauren is right

Krishnan IS what Strictly is all about.

Gutted for him.

He was so gracious about it too.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/11/2023 20:03

Poor Krishnan. He looked so emotional.

gingercat02 · 12/11/2023 20:03

Well that's just Shite! I've never been a fan of Angela Rippon but that's really pissed me off

Best comment of the thread🤣

nettie434 · 12/11/2023 20:03

So we are going to see Angela pretend to eat chips and rock in Blackpool next week. Sad it won't be Krishnan. Interesting that Angela S & Annabel seem to be more popular with the public.

Lentilweaver · 12/11/2023 20:03

Yes, I know @derxa but he said in an interview that Strictly was a lovely distraction from all that. I should probably have said: he will now have to go back to doing only his day job.

I shall miss Jay most of all.

We all will.

Elderflower14 · 12/11/2023 20:04

Wilfs disappointed. He likes Lauren. He met her at Gios tour.
Wilf was in hospital with a chest infection this morning... I was woken up by an ambulance man with Wilf in A and E at 4.15am... Its been a long day but he's home again now with antibiotics... All very scary! 😔

It’s bad if it’s a fix. I know it’s just a light ent show, but the BBC is supposed to be all about integrity.

That said, Krishnan was the weakest of the remaining ones I suppose. It’s not like Nigel (for example) was pushed under the bus for Angela. That would’ve been rough.

MouseMinge · 12/11/2023 20:04

I don't care what she's dancing to next week but the song has to be "Nice legs, shame about the face." which is horrific of me because that is so totally sexist and nasty but I'm over her and therefore I shall be a nasty wee shite.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 12/11/2023 20:06

Shirley’s done it before with a fix-y decision, let the other judges be the bad guys and then gone “welll of course I would have saved you

I dont really think Shirley can win whatever she does. If she'd voted to save Angela everyone would be raging about all 4 being unanimous. She voted the way we all thought it should be and she still gets criticised. Craig fully deserves all criticism thrown at him though for what he said and then still saving Krishnan.

Lentilweaver · 12/11/2023 20:06

Krishnan has done a very long and emo tweet. Sorry, I do not know how to screenshot.

BogRollBOGOF · 12/11/2023 20:06

Bugger. Krishnan upped his game there and relaxed into it a lot more. Going through could easily have been justified between those two dances.

I did look on the spoiler thread mid-afternoon as I thought it might be better for my blood pressure which turned out to be the right move. I'll miss his cheery disposition and that total novice actually learning to dance element.

Will miss KGM, get well soon Wilf !

januaryjan · 12/11/2023 20:08

Gosh the vitriol projected towards Angela R. Totally uncalled for

Krishna was the more mediocre dancer in the dance off - Just like Angela R he has walked through many of his dances.
If he didn't go this week then he would have gone next week.
If I can stick my leg up like Angela when I am 78 I'd be whipping them out every chance I could get too; the middle aisle in Aldi/Lidl, on the bus etc etc.

Krishnans Tweet.
"That’s all folks. Heartbroken. Thanks for the love and support - I’m so delighted that so many people enjoyed watching us. @bbcstrictly brought me more happiness than I ever imagined. It has been life changing and life affirming. There is something about taking big risks, performing, giving it everything, making yourself totally vulnerable and shedding the armour you normally use to survive that is exhilarating, liberating and inspiring. Dancing is physically and emotionally unique. I had more fun than should normally be allowed on television. I owe the vast majority of it my stunning dance partner @laurenmayoakley who is brilliant in every way, funny, clever, caring, gorgeous and wise. She taught me with patience and trust, boosted me when I doubted, picked me up when I crumbled. If you want to understand the kind of person she is : when dance performance shut down during the pandemic Lauren worked in a care home, she dreams of running an animal sanctuary and she’s so fun she really ought to be presenting children’s (and family) television. She is an incredibly talented dancer, choreographer and producer. When we met she said she had one aim : to make me love dance. She succeeded in week one. And somehow we made it to week eight. It had to come to an end sooner or later - the others were just too good. They’re all lovely and talented. It was a very special team of people to be part of and we look after each other. The Strictly production team are the best in entertainment. I’ve never felt more safe in other peoples’ hands. Going to wardrobe (especially wardrobe) and makeup and hair was always a joy. My beautiful wife Lisa supported me perfectly throughout, after being the first person to convince me to do the show. My talented daughter Jasmine cheered me on as only she can, my sceptical rockstar son Jay learned to love Strictly (and Claudia) almost as much as I did. I don’t quite know what happens now. Re-entry to normal life ain’t easy after something like Strictly. Especially when normal life is something as extraordinary as C4 News. The team there put up with me being semi-detached (to put it mildly) for the last two months. Thanks everyone. Lots of love. See u soon. Xx"
