MAFSUK - thread 9 This matchmaking lark is quite tricky. When some are decidedly picky. They’ll meet for a blether, and then get together, but only because they’re so sticky.

The show might have lost its appeal
For some that won’t be a big deal
It may just be snark
But they have jumped the shark
With the return of one I and P Beale.

And nip flashing peg? Brace yersel.

Looks like J is a pushover
Luke such a liar

jj had t shagged Ella yet v telling !!

roarrfeckingroar · 01/11/2023 11:50

Is it even possible to have PI(n)V sex with a neo vagina? Isn't it a bit risky, like it might tear? I strongly suspect JJ didn't realise the reality before faced with it.

Tontostitis · 01/11/2023 12:00

I think Peggy is reeling Georges back in. Saying she likes the awful underwear to keep that maybe, maybe, if going.

JJ in no way fancies Ella anymore. The reality of an inverted ballsack. I don't think Jj understood what a transwoman is. I actually feel sorry for Ella she's been friend zoned again, Nathaniel was a far better match.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 01/11/2023 12:19

I never believed JJ wanted to be with Ella. Even when he was trying to show he liked her (with hand on Ella's leg) it wasn't a committed act. It was one of two fingers trying to keep as much of himself off ella

Didn’t think I’d ever be saying this but

Poor Mark.

sure there’s plenty we haven’t seen but Sean seems to have gone a bit weird

I agree - poor Mark!

He has turned out to be one of the most genuine people on there after letting his guard down.

Ramalangadingdong · 01/11/2023 12:47

What is an fud?

Tontostitis · 01/11/2023 12:47

I think Sean's been pushed to the edge. Marks constant need for reassurance he won't be hurt left no room for Sean to have any emotion he was just there to be Marks emotional support. The stick or twist brought up the harsh reality that he had no choices and was trapped. Its a shame if Mark wasn't such a tit and considered Sean's needs for a nanosecond they could possibly have let something grow.

Ramalangadingdong · 01/11/2023 12:51

It would be so good if Paul votes to leave.

At the top of the show he said she put her hand in his face. I don’t know what that means but it sounds awful and if he was a friend of mine I would say LTB. Once someone crosses that line something changes. You can never go back no matter how much you want to.

Tasha is truly awful. Rough woman who has been dragged up. If I was her friend/family etc I would be ashamed to see how she has been, but perhaps they are all just as bad.

MelsMoneyTree · 01/11/2023 13:01

@SheldonesqueTheBstard hate to disagree with you but ...Thomas is a sneaky fud - telling Arthur that Laura is condescending then hinting to Laura that Arthur wouldn't be comfortable in the restaurant. Pallying up to Luke. To quote a Tory, 'there is something of the night' about Thomas - and not in a ripping off the sheets and jumping Ros way.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 01/11/2023 13:11

I was about two weeks behind on MAFS but liked the insights of the thread so it took me 3 days to read the thread up to date.

Loulou599 · 01/11/2023 13:15

I can't quite believe how shit this is compared to Aus?

Why didn't we get to see the spin the bottle?
See JJ receiving Ella's texts?
See Paul and tashas row?

This is what makes it so bad. Basically the producers only want to show us what happens between the couples not within them

Loulou599 · 01/11/2023 13:16

I think it sounds like tash did way more than just scream in Paul's face. She probably slapped or shoved him

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 01/11/2023 13:21

@MelsMoneyTree

You know what - you are absolutely right!

I missed that little nugget as I had a face full of ‘walk me NOW’ Sheldog.

Sneaky fud it is 😲

Yy - both Peggy and TwoGeorges have said they have a lot of fun together but we only had a glimpse of it at the very beginning. We don't know if TwoGeorges is inappropriate or if Peggy is ott. Sean has obviously fallen off a cliff but we don't know why (and tbh I don't think it's fair of people to blame Mark for it when Sean is having some kind of crisis that seems to have nothing to do with Mark). We didn't see Tash and Paul fight. We don't know if Laura and Arthur do talk to each other when on their own, etc, etc.

The other difference with Oz - is that it feels as though the producers don't like any of these people and are being deliberately cruel. There's a whiff of Titus in the colosseum pushing around the little people to see what makes them break.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 01/11/2023 13:23

Roz and Thomas - I like them but she went from not fancying him and struggling for intimacy to all we ever seem to hear about now is her and her sex toys/ life in a way I don't ever really seen even last year with the sex obsessed woman.

Laura and Arthur - I do think she thinks she's better than him and tbh if they are still together I'd hate to be him listening to how she spoke about him to her friends I do somewhat like them though.

Mark and Sean - I thought Mark would be the issue but they've both really surprised me being the opposite to what I thought.

Luke and Jay - what a dick! He had to go and tbh I'm not sure on Jay. She seemed like a nice girl that needed to find a decent relationship but according to this thread she was scissoring Ros? And I think she wasn't hard enough on Luke after the incident with Luke.

Jordan and Erica - I find her so pretty but there is a sly look about her and Jordan whilst I feel he's morally right it comes across shit stirring and can see why the boys bought it up but it went way too far and I don't think his actual message was wrong and if they hadn't done anything wrong it wouldn't have been an issue but they did and he I think just communicated it wrong.

Ella and JJ - Eurgh shouldn't be back and she's not a girls girl. I do feel like JJ has got more than he bargained for. I feel sorry for Nathaniel and Bianca who were led down the garden path by producers.

Peggy and Georges - I hate Georges for that video becajse for the past so many weeks I've had to listen to her moan about that bloody video and it's just an excuse! He does look downtrodden

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 01/11/2023 13:23

I would love to know who has been in amongst illicit merchandise.

Although my guess is the same two as mentioned earlier. Random behaviours.

Last episode I did find myself warming to Ella (shock). Arthur actually looked like he was having a laugh with her, and as nice as I think Laura is, I don't think she's a laugh.

Twonewcats · 01/11/2023 13:51

to be fair, we've only heard two comments that Thomas has made that seem to be a bit off - that's good going for weeks/hours of TV! We can't change our entire opinion of him due to that, surely? They were all saying things to the person they were swapped to, so why is he being singled out as being ly?

*disclaimer, he's a friend of a friend, and they have only wonderful things to say about him

Sorry what? Jay was scissoring Roz? Wha....?

MelsMoneyTree · 01/11/2023 13:57

I'm sure Thomas' friends do find him lovely but I think the way he cosies up to Luke shows a lack of judgement. Also I'm not sure Sheldon's FudAwards of 23 are to be taken as a definitive statement on everyone's character and my amendment was made in that spirit. Grin

Dare I ask what a fud is..?

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 01/11/2023 14:05

I was only fudding funning too twonewcats 😏

I’m just so frustrated at the edit/dramallamaing when all I want to do is watch them make a go of it and learn about them.

It just feels as real as an episode of Eastenders.

It is a word I have used more today than I have in about 5 years.

Scottish word for foof. Usually said with the same intonation you would use for cnut.

I am a bit liberal with the c word but this f one makes me fold myself inwards if I hear it out loud.

For me, it has always been more of a don’t say word than the c one. Hard to explain. 🫣
