Sooo <Granny Murray voice> Sam told his story of letting Craig go but then deciding to follow him and beat him up. Bashed up Craig then ran into a field where Kim was riding her horse Ice. He wouldn't get out of her path and Ice had enough of his shit and gave him a good kicking. Cain suddenly appeared and asked Kim to leave Craig to die which didn't take much convincing. Cain went round to Caleb and drank some beer for an alibi and left a glass with his DNA on for evidence.

So only Kim and Cain know how he died.
