Ready for more super soapy shite?

I’ve been away for a few days and have just caught up this evening. It was barely worth the effort apart from Lydia’s storyline. Craig’s PA still looking like she’s going to come forward with something worthwhile to corroborate Lydia’s story. Even though it’ll drag out till Christmas.

The antics of the Chuckle brothers and snivelling, gurning Aaron will be on fast forward from now on. I can’t bear them.

I mean this kindly because Danny Miller strikes me as a pleasant man IRL but his acting range seems so limited. It seems he can only pull one of two expressions/emotions: angry Kevin the teenager grimaces or on the verge of tears.

I think the problem with Danny Miller is that that the stories they give Aaron are either huffy puffy hard man (he needs to stop doing that blowing out air thing) or bawling his eyes out. He was a much more balanced character when he returned in 2014.

Any time his character has a bit of growth they undo it all for the tears and it's back to the usual.

Even Gary Mavers who played Gordon said Danny is a great actor but he cries too much 

Cain was stuck in a similar vicious circle for years until they recently copped he's getting a bit too old for the hard-case act now.

I hope they manage to keep a bit of humour in it at least. The scenes with Vinny and Bernice and Aaron just telling Caleb he was moving into the flat were funny.

Still he draws viewers in which Emmerdale are well aware of so they'll take him back no matter how many times he leaves. I'm sure they're doing their damndest to get Ryan back too because they know the ratings will improve. My worry is that the stories this lot come up with will be detrimental to the characters.

I thought they were gearing up to bring Ryan back a couple of years ago when Victoria’s dull ex, the brother of her rapist, admitted he attacked the brother shortly before he died. I remember Wendy wailing that she should tell the police because it might mean Robert didn’t actually kill him. Maybe they are leaving that one in the back pocket to bring him out of prison on appeal. I don’t think Ryan has done much on screen since he left so he might need the £££😭

Aaron has had a lot of harrowing storylines to be fair. But he looks miserable/angry even when he’s meant to be happy.

Yeah at least that's set up nicely for his return should he want to. Maybe Luke will have an attack of conscience off screen and hand himself in thereby giving Emmerdale the opportunity to have more Wendy screeching and Robert returning to knock some sense into Aaron.
