The residents of Coronation street who are constantly on a cake run/popping to Dev’s for milk/going the Roy’s cafe etc fail to see a gang of bullies attacking a child in the street. But if it was someone having a private discussion with their solicitor in the street one of them would sure as hell hear every word of it from across the road

A child suicide hasn’t been done before as far as I’m aware? It would be horrendous and I hope they deal with it properly if they are going down that road.

I was thinking the same, surely Jenny would be in an even worse financial position buying the Rovers back because it’s been wrecked by the builders so she will have to do a full refurb, plus re negotiate with suppliers etc. If it was a failing business before it would be even worse now. The way Daisy was talking it sounded like she would be buying it back with Jenny, is she going to persuade Daniel not to buy Elaine’s flat and invest in the Rovers instead? Why has Brian has not come up with the idea of a community pub? I remember when Fred,Elliot, Mike Baldwin and Duggie Ferguson owned it so it’s sort of been done before.

I thought exactly the same about equity release so I googled, and you can buy back. I suppose they are trying to show continuing consequences from Stephen’s reign of terror like they did with Hillman (Hillman remortgaged Gail’s house).

@Shellingbynight (and others) - thanks for looking that up. I've read so much about what a rip-off these schemes are. There must be something in it for the equity release company though? A big mark-up? <too invested ...>
