Genuine question - am I the only one who really isn’t that bothered that we don’t see much of the children? I get that it must be frustrating if you’re a real-life parent watching fictional parents happily popping to the pub and café all day long. But from a practical point of view, you have to suspend your disbelief sometimes and accept it’s fiction, and that there are considerations like chaperones, restrictions on working hours, schooling etc. involved.

Apart from anything else, soap children are boring! They can only get kidnapped or have life-threatening illnesses so many times. I can’t say I’d be that enthralled by scenes of kids eating sausages and beans or fighting over a teddy bear.

Actually it is pretty dodgy just running a porn business from a flat while living with someone under age.

Roy needs to have a word with Ryan before the Gazette woman or DI Tinks calls round.

I really don't need a porn storyline. I have enough to be getting on with. Will Adam and Sarah get back together? Is Tims phone broken? What will happen the Rovers? Does anyone go for a kebab or a chippy tea?

@WomanStanleyWoman2 No, I can do without them. It's rare there's a good child actor; usually cringeworthy. The only thing that jars is that it's rarely explained who's looking after them or where they all sleep in tiny houses.

Having said all that, I did notice that Kevin turned up at the pub free for all last night and mentioned that Abbie was at home asleep.

Lauren has come up in the world. In the space of a couple of weeks she’s gone from being homeless and sleeping rough in the salon to having her own flat and being able to offer her spare room to a random guy she doesn’t know. Is she charging Ryan rent money although Roy appears to be covering the rent for the flat? I hope her next move isn’t to be lured into Ryan’s sordid money making scheme. Oh well at least they’ll have Aadi and his glamour girl for neighbours. Maybe they can all set up a business in the bloody precinct that now seems to feature in every episode.

I just like those two as flat mates, her ' not bothered' attitude was quite amusing when contrasted with all the other reactions to Ryan's new career and her quizzing him if he was gay or just doing it for the money.

I think he was walking back along the canal from the record store where is bought the gospel music LP (that he fell and broke!) and on his way to Shelley's from there.

I don't remember ever seeing the canal or the precinct until recently. I don't even recall them mentioning a precinct. Are they new filming locations that they are making the most of whilst they can?

It seems obvious that there was a canal at the end of canal Street, but I never really thought about it

Why do all these families make so much toast when no-one ever eats it? Most of it's getting dumped on the table or cleared away.

Oh of course, I'd forgotten about them being driven into the canal. Seb might have died at the canal, I seem to remember a wheelie bin, I thought they were down an alley way.
