The highlight of tonight’s episode was Charity and Mack having a steamy romp on the sofa the day before the christening. Mack went round to accept Charity’s offer to have the buffet in the Woolpack. I’m looking forward to tomorrow evening now!

I don’t think so JaneJeffer. She looks like she still loves him and became emotional telling him how Moses missed having him around etc. When Mack returned home to Chloe he looked like he was about to tell her what had just happened. He’s looking very sheepish. It’s hopefully all going to come out.

Mac looking sheepish is his default acting style. They should recast him to stand in a field.

I'm glad to hear of a change in exec producer. But I hope whomever comes in doesn't think that a plane crash/serial killer/earthquake is the way to win back viewers. Believable rather than sensational stuff happening to regular characters please - takes skilled writers. And number one [for me] - don't change characters' personalities to fit your storyline. Never works.

I would quite like them to get up and running with a major explosion to get rid of the many unbearable characters and then restart with the Sugden brothers returning and getting back to their farming roots.

Watched it. Don't know how I feel about this charity and mack development. Looking forward to the smile (sort of smile) being wiped from chloes face. But I no longer believe mack is worthy of charity. Had it been the one night stand and the resulting baby, I could forgave that. But what he's done since is shite.

I don't know how Emmerdale can be re-booted now.

I only started watching it after I'd been on Mumsnet a couple of years and noticed these threads which were (and are!) very funny and interesting. I feel like I've been watching a ship sink with you all.

Corrie's gone down the pan as well. Too many uncrafted characters, no development of character-led stories, just issues and episodes.

I wonder if they (the production teams at ITV) are too focused on chasing awards and 'beating' the BBC and C4, instead of concentrating on what the ITV soaps used to do best?

Anyone else feeling bad vibes from Lydia’s childhood sweetheart Craig? There’s something creepy about him although poor Lydia seems happy to have him back in her life.

Didn't watch last night but really hope Charity slept with Mackenzie as revenge and uses it to destroy them both. Mackenzie doesn't deserve Charity anymore and it would be the perfect way to get back at Chloe for her vile comments the other night.

I think Charity still loves him and is hurt, and Chloe was nasty and spiteful with her comments. I wonder if Charity will announce what happened at the christening ! I wouldn't be surprised...I don't think she should get back with him as he is utterly spineless...and getting into a relationship with Chloe is a step too far....

It's amazing what a good producer can do. When Kate Oates took over from Stuart Blackburn in 2013 they had the best few years when Emmerdale was unmissable.

I hope Charity does reveal what happened at the christening but I don't think she should take Mack back. They were good together at the time but that ship has sailed. No doubt he'll put on his little boy lost look to try to win her back.

It's hard to choose my least favourite character as there are so many but Victor really, really gets on my nerves. His pot belly is revolting - just get a shirt a few sizes bigger FFS - and his plastic gangster gruff voice and cockney accent really grate. Please leave and take your awful faux Edna Birch wife with you.

Looking at an upcoming spoiler, it's not going to get any better. I think they need to get rid of more that one boss person.

The new person won't get going until after Super Soap Week which is a thing I would love to see scrapped.

What does Super Soap week consist of? A week of episodes that are marginally less shite than what we're used ot?

Lydia is just going to be simperingly grateful he gave her a job and feel constant guilt over the baby .

Sam's got an eye on the situation though....but he is then just going to be accused of jealousy.

I agree about Crag - nobody ever seems to come into Emmerdale with anything other than bad intentions - take the best actor ever for example.

Where is the hi tech factory anyway - in Rishi's old sweetie factory?

I always thought Rishis sweet factory is now the HOP ?

Goodness knows - I pay so little attention nowadays that it could be anywhere.

I see so many spoilers now planted in the media, it's ridiculous. It means I don't know if I've even seen an episode or not! And stop caring.
