Just catching up after missing a couple of episodes . Poor Lydia. How awful. God I hope she’s not pregnant.

What’s going on with Tom and Dawn? Just when Dawn and Billy are strong and have presented a united front against Ghastly Gabby is there a spark between Dawn and oddball Tom?

I thought that was really odd with Dawn and Tom and then Belle reading too much into something. Dawn is so in love with Billy she wouldn't even look at anyone else. Tom may be a rogue but it's just laughable that Belle thinks something is going on.

Poor Lydia. I hope she confides in Kim.

She probably will be and then the bastard's mother will arrive in the village and never leave because they are on a loop of unoriginal stories

I was sorry to see Lydia showered instead of going to the police but also so shocked at how it all tranformed. I wonder what she is doing with the clothes or keeping them as evidence? It will not be a nice storyline anyway. She is meant to be around 47 so though isnt she so hopefully highly unlikely pregnant but I guess you never know.

Been away a few days and had to catch up. I had no idea that grim scene was coming.
strugglingwithlife I find it hard to watch too and would have skipped it if i'd known. I saw afterwards it said on the download synopsis that 'Craig commits a shocking and horrific act on Lydia'. I had no idea it was coming, also that it was on earlier and for an hour, so it all took me and my DF by surprise!

I watched on plus one last night. I knew it was coming, I'd read about it. Think the synopsis could have included a trigger warning for those who weren't aware, didn't catch if there was one before the episode started.
The aftermath was worse than the attack scene for me, how he acted so normal, drove her home, even chatted with Sam. I was thinking, how can she report this now? But I hope she does and that she gets justice, whether that be jail or a hit man.

A news paper article popped up on my Facebook page a few days ago, an interview from the actress (Karen Blick?) who plays Lydia, about ‘Lydia’s’ ordeal and the aftermath, I didn’t mention on here as it would have been a spoiler. I thought there would have been a warning prior to it being aired but I didn’t see one.

I hadn't seen any spoilers but guessed the script was heading towards rape. I doubt Lydia will report it or tell Sam any time soon as she could fear being disbelieved that she didn't consent. Hopefully Craig will get what he deserves but knowing how storylines go it could turn farcical.

Come on script writers now's your chance to get something right for a change.

I also felt that Belle seemed to be reacting as if something suspicious was going on between Tom and Dawn. There has never been any hint of this and, in fact, I can't remember seeing the two of them in the same scene before.
However, plucking stories out of non existent situations has never stopped the writers before.

Wasn't Belle the receptionist at the vets when she started her affair with Jamie 🤔.

I think she has paranoid suspicion because she is imagining the same thing happening with Tom and Dawn ?

So I watched on catch up to see what else was going on other then this SL. Quickly forwarded the assault scene. Glad it didn't last too long. Found it upsetting still, I hope Lydia tells someone, I hope they don't drag this out too long. Him carrying on chatting to her like normal as if he hadn't done anything wrong was sickening 😔

I think it will be Kim who she ends up confiding in..
Kim will know something is wrong .

Kim's a lovely friend to have on your side.

Kim can also make people disappear @bizzey I hope she confides in her too and soon. I've never been a fan of Lydia but I still found last night's upsetting.

Yes and what makes it worse is he seemed so nice and normal and I thought it would be a case of them having an affair, and not this awful thing. Poor Lydia. Sam is so lovely too.

Missed the first few minutes cos putting daughter to bed. Just saw Lydia with Kim, really hoped she was going to tell her. Looks like Kim knows something isn't right
